Harty1986, markets are down on weak nonfarm payroll data in the USA.

USA should have already made interest cuts before now, expect a 0.50% cut in September or maybe before if markets continue to drop. JMO.

Redwineday, in H2 of last year 6 million shares were bought back. I'm expecting to hear at H1 results presentation that there will be another announcement plan for further share buybacks in H2 of this year.

Rates should have been cut months ago in the USA.

Down 7% @51p. Touched 58.5p yesterday. Crazy.

Meta reporting that ad revenue up 22%. Reach plc reporting Q2 digital revenue back in growth. Bodes well for S4.

IMO a interest rate cut next month in the US will boost growth for S4 with 80% of S4's revenue in the US.

Srbenjo, for the past two years there has been a trading update in July, this was because they were in fact profit warnings, looking beyond the past two years there was no trading updates in July. So we can look forward with confidence to the Interim results in mid September.

Google are already S4 Capital's largest client.

Kularatnam, I agree that the companies that merged with S4 at much higher strike prices are not going to recover their losses with any takeover offer. Going back to the March WSJ article (enclosed below)..... maybe disgruntled shareholders will compromise on price? If they can see some potential in a merger with Stagwell, or anyone else that would make a much larger company. Another positive would be that Stagwell is listed in the US where S4 should be.

Kularatnam, yes mate, I would expect a more bullish tone to SMS outlook statement. Considering that S4 announced 8 new clients in Q1, plus at least one more big client, a potential whopper client in GM in Q2.

Kularatnam.... ""A bit of a guess work anyway. GM ad budget is $3.6bn in 2023.Assume this figure and imagine Monks get 1% share of it , that will be 3++% increase to S4 revenue. A 3% share will add 10% , that is huge."

Just to recap a little of what SMS said in the Youtube interview.... "We were recently appointed foundational agency for General Motors in the US a couple of weeks ago, which for us is big stuff." SMS goes on to say that GM are the 11th largest advertiser in the USA.

While I'm not expecting anything from Q2 numbers, the outlook statement will be key. With new client GM on board, a potential whopper, maybe this is the reason why three of our now ex directors have purchased shares.

Redwineday, I agree, I've watched on many occasions where a lot of sell trades all reported at the same time, with many trades for low amounts of shares, there could be 20 plus trades totaling 20,000 shares that can move the share price down 6%. Shocking.

If ever the S4 share price recovers to 200p plus, maybe at this point SMS and his team would move S4 to the USA Nasdaq. Where if truth be told S4 should have been IPO, not London. With 80% plus of the business in the US this is where S4 should be traded. It will take one hell of a turnaround from 50p to 200p, only strong 20% plus growth will achieve this IMO.

The proof is in the pudding....... S4 will have to prove good financial results going forward, year in, year out, for the market to re rate the share price. Time will tell.

Shame that the market doesn't agree..... Yet.
