1msn, I would tend to agree, reading between the lines, three S4 now ex directors purchasing over one million shares at a cost of almost £480k should reassure us ahead of S4 imminent results. Would these ex directors have purchase on 1st July if results were going to be bad? I would like to think not, they know far more than any of us how the company is performing.

S4 Capital should be releasing a 6 month trading statement within the next two weeks. Last years 2023 update was released on 24th July. Any signs of green shoots would be most welcome.

I know that they were heavily shorted, not the same comparison as with S4.

I personally hope that shorts continue to increase their holdings. They are playing with fire, any good news released by the company will see them scrambling to close out, liquidity could be their enemy. After the run up in share price last week I was expecting that shorts would have reduced, when in fact they increased slightly. So if it wasn't shorts closing who else apart from directors (480k) was buying?

I agree 1msn, we've had some false dawns, but this rally feels different. IMO.

On 27 June the date when Actus Ray Partners Limited disclosed their increase in their short position to 0.70%, the S4 share price was 43p. Their timing couldn't have been much worse, just before the upturn. Nice to see shorts getting shafted.
