Agreed GoCPI, I don't think that its in SMS DNA to sell out on the cheap, he hasn't worked 5 years setting S4 up to sell out cheaply one would have thought. It's funny how SMS was discussing the valuation at the beginning of the week, is the market just waking up to the valuation SMS said? Also, I must admit not many CEO's put a valuation on their business unless they have received a takeover bid, that information is usually held very close. IMO.

Mary, from memory I think that Game Stop was something like 140% short, many shares shorted more than once obviously. The true figure shorting S4? Unknown.....Maybe 5% - 10%.

Another........... Game Stop Corp?.................. Shorts rushing for the exit door? If only.

Yes 2 years gone July. Doubled my money within 6 months of buying in, sold a few, but made the mistake of buying back too soon. Hindsight can be a wonderful thing.

Jackbal, I said the same thing on the other chat board this afternoon.... "It looks to me like sellers are exhausted"

I also have that figure in mind, not sure if its because of Feb 2023 when SP touched 249p. I did sell a few in the 240's, but bought them back far too soon.

USA FED meeting on 17 & 18 Sept, expecting a 0.25% rate cut. With S4 reporting H1 results the next day 19 Sept. I'm hopeful of meeting managements targets, with an improving outlook. I'm expecting an announcement for a further share buyback in H2 of this year. Also, news regarding new client General Motor's being a possible new "whopper." Sir Martin has talked in the media about GM being a new big client for S4, I find it strange why S4 haven't issued a RNS to announce this, it may well have helped recover the struggling share price. IMO.

Mary, that would be nice, then a IPO on the Nasdaq 12 months later when S4 is making a profit. If truth be told S4 should have IPO'd, not London.

I would advise listening to the podcast interview of the article, it goes in to more detail. Briefly Sorrell points out that S4 is in control of its own destiny, with him holding a controlling share. Regarding the valuation, Sorrell's valuation is based on 10X & 20X EBITDA minus about £200m Net Debt = £800m to £1.8bln.

I would like to think so Multiplier7, but having already received one low ball bid of $700m 96p per share rightly turned down as not credible. I'm not sure, Mr market didn't listen on that occasion. Time will tell.

That would give a share price valuation of 130p to 293p, that wouldn't be accounting for Net Debt, that is expected to have peaked/dropping. Knowing Sorrell who's the deal making king, he would be looking towards the higher end of the valuation. IMO.
