RE: Over 5%6 Aug 2016 02:25
Great results, no real -ve points and they now have cash in the Bank.
My Strategy:
Some time ago I formed a new investment plan which included decreasing my holding in bwy from 42% of my Bldrs to 15%, just to make a better balance. Not traded anything for over a Year.
Plan: Increase Bldrs from 3 to 5, new to tw and rdw.
Coy, New, Old
psn, 34%, 26%
bdev, 23%, 32%
tw, 18%, 0%
bwy, 15%, 42%
rdw, 10%, 0%
Btw - My idea from Tends SS (see below) is to Hold bwy (after particularly good results) for 3 weeks after Dec Date.
Interested to hear your thoughts on my new set up and what yours is.
Tactics:
I was LTBH but am changing to a ladder system, investing before RNS releases and ExDivDates, then selling after the results are consolidated into the new Prices. This is my Diary System which will eventually advise me of what to Buy/Sell and when. When an Action Date appears I then decide to go-ahead or not with the advice.
Almost finished the progs, so I will put it into practice soon.
Method:
You can do all this with Excel Sheets, but if you use Visual Basic it saves a lot of Work.
Uses:
Trend Sheets for each Coy - YEnd to YEnd for last 5 years with RNS Date Labels Hyperlinked to RNS's.
One Rel Strength Sheet for the Coys for last Year and a bit - ie First Date 01/01/15 to 31/12/16
One Rel Strength Sheet for the Coys for last 5 Years and a bit - ie First Date 01/01/10 to 31/12/16
Excel Copy/Sort (or VB Prog) to create Buy/Sell Dates, and Sort to Action Dates - ie the Diary.
I welcome any comments/improvements/arguments on my system and look forward to seeing far more messages on this Board.
Bol Bwyers.
