Nice copper rally indeed..and long may it continue, please
And with xtr s/p buried in the dirt on the floor, I'd have liked to see this rally somewhat off the back.. but amazingly it has fallen further :-(
A Bird special; an inverse relationship between the POC and Xtr's s/p :-)
Oh well, no point concerning himself about it on Gold Cup at Cheltenham Day... Nice corporate box.. nice beef and Yorkshire... nice red wine..... and the one and only Mr Colin D Bird getting on with important things
Header!
Enjoy Mr WOS !!
PS; I notice all the young trendy Owls rocking it in the Sneaker(s) instead of the Shoe(s) these days !!!
I remember taking shelter outside Gap on High Street Kensington - none left on High Street anymore - in the rain towards watching this rally on my phone in early 2017..,..thinking this won't last long and i'll watch it peter out here and not bother going home.. I'd only got 7 k in this then.. and an hour later it was still racing up and, in shock - and it still raining- I I thought best go straight home now .. A few days later I'd mostly closed out and banked 20 odd k profit and was kicking myself for not timing my exit nearly as well as I could have.... I subsequently decided that on a grander scheme of things matd.l I hadn't timed my exit nearly as badly as I first thought
Great for the long suffering here if there's a barnstorming RNS in the morning ! (I'll guess there won't be.. but next week fine too .. or the week after ........)
No fear of Mr WOS bating for two and a half hours
Mr WOS likes expeditious happy ending of the Without Feather, Sir variety
15.19pm he wrote: ''Is mb going to release the RND or does he want me to''
Two and half hours later and Master continues to bate
(Bate meaning show restraint... in case of confusion Mr Cybertron)
Master don't bate (or bait even)
Nice to michu Cybertron.
I do indeed obsess over WOS... and do so because I think the character he has created here is brilliant .. and I think he does fine research here too.. and is roundly excellent at ramping matd.l too
I've look in on many many LSE BB's for plenty of years now - and have held well over 100 Aim stock across my time playing the game - and I rate WOS as one of the posters I've most enjoyed reading across all those LSE BB's in all that time
Mr WOS for President !
Good posts Diamond Geezer .. and I am very interested to hear your views here including at what level you might sell here
(Kyocera's ''nobody gives a …k when you sell'' is as arrogant as it is bullying imho)
A good board is a balanced one.. and I generally find that such shares reasonably regularly - but far from always - play out somewhere around the middle of the uber bears and uber bulls views... hearing both helps me to try and find such a middle ground view
So for eg I'll might easily go for a view here that's half as good as Fulmar offers and half as bad as DonkeyOatey offers
Generally, I'm all for all the historic posters here staying posting ....and also all for plenty of new posters coming on board here too .. and great if the hatefulness gets toned down a lot in that process ..
In defence of Fulmar, I expect it would have to be the 'Flamin' Hot' flavour of Monster Munch before he'd go that far, RainW
If it was the Roast Beef flavour Monster Munch I'd expect he'd go no further than the second best deal ever ..
..and if the Pickled Onion flavour Monster Munch I'd expect no further than the third best deal ever, from him...
.. in fairness
At this rate Mr Professional, Sir and Mr Wise Owl Speak, Sir may soon only be open to semi addressing each other .. ..
...as in...
Mr Semi Professional
Mr Semi Wise Owl Speak
:-)
I was only joking, of course, Cruella.. and towards joking some more...
Split Cassandra/Marlene personality reminds me that while there's zero chance of me ever being on the xtr.l inside, I'd have reserved both Danny and Tony Driscoll (Brothers) as my Only Fools & Horses nicknames... Danny on a Nice to Michu day and Tony on a Not Nice to Michu day :-)
( Don't fear Mr Zap...if ever I bump into Mr Bird on the Old Brompton Road or generally hereabouts, I would of course try my best to present as Danny Nice to Michu Driscoll ! )
Are you Mr WOS, Sir implying that Mr Professional, Sir has a wardrobe full of Sneaky Sneakers and empty of Shoe(s)?
Mr Michu always wonders how many Sneaky Sneakers Mr WOS has in his Wardrobe too?
I have a huge amount of time for AK.. and have no doubt he has and continues to put his heart and soul into making Save.l a very successful company.
Him owning a bunch of shares here, is very helpful in that regard, I have no doubt.
Trying to do business in Africa is more and more of a nightmare for Western companies though.. and good or bad luck is a huge determinant of progression, alongside - AK's - very hard work.... Alas, I believe he has been unlucky a lot in the last couple of years. Very hopefully meaningful good luck comes to AK/us in sundry things save.l very soon.. because we need it.
PS; On the - small :-) -chance Mr Professional do not have all IP addresses here.. I ask if Mr WOS would consider buying Sneakers instead of shoe(s).. as I understand he has so many shoe(s) now that he's bored of going buy shoe(s), Sir.. and instead spends too much time doing good research and posting here
I don't short, so only your below 3p buy recommendation is of interest to me, Mr Professional .. and I'm all for topping up here at 3p ish ..
As you have all IP addresses, please could you, Mr Professional Sir, effect a block on Mr WOS's main IP address here until Friday.... and to be safe Mr Master too.. as there is a chance that their good info. might stop this s/p from falling to 3p ish in coming days..
Sincerely Yours
Mr Michu
...my GUESS is that algorithm(s) is still looking to, in the round, buy more here ..and continues trying its best to confuse and disguise around this intention..
...and the algo(s) would like to tease out more shares from existing holders to mop up at sub 1.75p, of course... hopefully few currently holding oblige.. and algo(s) is/are open to pushing this s/p decently on up from here.. and such activity/rally begets further buying again.. getting us to a fairer - imho - level of 2.5p +
Some interesting debate here today, in fairness .. thanks
And, in the round, the most defining point I take is coffeecups re seeing this as a trading share (a lot more so than a buy and hold share)
Of my two plays in this space, I had hoped to see xtr as my trading share and this as more of - but not entirely - a buy and hold play.. The insights I've gained here since first involvement a few months back to now has me see both equally as trading shares now... and management in both, in the round, underwhelms me pretty significantly and equally
Generally, I expect another raise here - for Botswana further drilling, if next stage exploration is positive .. and/or for Zambia new licence exploration.... within the next 15 months.. We absolutely need the share price to be much higher when that happens.. and plenty of ducks need to come in line for that to happen .. especially early(ish) drilling results from Anglo ..
JV phased payments from Anglo will help somewhat as we go I do appreciate though ... and I also clearly understand that we need macro stuff to turn from unfavourable to favourable relatively quickly too eg price of copper meaningfully ralling and general AIM market and this Sector specific therein sentiment changing from - very - negative to positive
In the circumstances, management chose the right/obvious play.
If the play wasn't so obvious they might easily have chosen badly...
And it was as cr +p a play as much as an obvious play because management messed up a bunch previously..
...hopefully they live and learn....
More hopefully again they get lucky going forward ..
It's really all about drilling results now ..
Here's hoping !
Good post Mr Zap (imho)
And that last placing of three years ago was at a - what now appears to be - Princely 6.2p .. in fairness too...
.925p today even more shocking, in the round, so... alas
PS: How Mr Bird managed the unwind of his Bushranger story... that turned out average - so far - (imho) versus an at one point potentially excellent looking outcome ... remains my biggest issue here.. such apathic ham fistedness against a brutal market backdrop, doubly unfortunate too.. (Towards balance, I've always liked Mr Colin Bird's 'ave a go 'ero orientation)
Generally, I need Mr Bird to get even somewhat lucky with an 'ole or three one more time .. please.. and that's plenty possible still too ..
Approx 100m volume - buys and sells -were transacted here last week alone.. the Swedish Teachers Pension fund seller had approx. 60 m to sell in total.. and had opportunity to sell in feb too when there was 100m - buys and sells -transacted volume across all that month ......
Given very good liquidity here last week and semi decent liquidity here thru Feb that Pension fund seemingly - from yesterday's RNS - having a meaningful chunk to sell still surprised me a lot..
I'll guess the placing could have been at 2p + when scoped in the market from say early last week.. but leaky leaky selling - I note the two 'huge' volumes days of last week were Thursday and Friday too, to support this - before the placing saw it end up at 1.8p - a further disappointment from a company that has already smashed the vast majority of its medium and especially long term shareholders)
Also I'd like to know what the arranged selling to ARCM price will be for that Swedish Pension Funds remaining Block ....and how many shares that actually is ... and when that price was agreed?
