Sadly, I'm far more with the bears than the bulls re performance versus targets for 2023 as a whole now .. but great if I'm wrong on that

The s/p performance from here relative to my latest view is nuanced though... as the s/p now feels low to very low 'already' to me .... and a market cap of sub 10m gbp would not be justifed here even if this year is a bad one versus targets for HMI.l .... so I don't see it falling significantly below 5p even if q2 and q3 are bad versus forecast and prices achieved come off somewhat too.. but, any rally here from 5 ish p on up will be hard achieved now.. so a slow burner s/p for remainder of this year in for eg the 4p to 8p range is my guess... hence why I took half my bet here off the table here to put it back in play elsewhere.. but I'm happily stay holding small here though as I still see decent future potential for s/p growth from such lowly levels here, but more so 24 than 23 now though..

JV much needed towards this having a chance of getting north of 15p again imho.. and that JV ould happen pretty quickly from here, I feel .. but my instinct is still that it's at least a few months away as Copl needs to show whatever further progress on whatever aspects the JV partner requires ahead of this JV having a chance of getting done ....

Ahead of any JV, this s/p getting back to 10p would be a very good / hard - production growth related - earned achievement imho..

PS: If that guy Edmund Fitzgerald was banned from here then I despair.. His posts had plenty of quality and well worth reading imho..

Invoiced sales was my particular focus chique.. they offer invoiced 'and delivered' , which is a bit tougher again to achieve versus just invoiced, in fairness.. still, I was shocked by the lowness of that number.

BMcM's previous interviews focus of incredulity at the low level of this s/p versus the companies performance now annoys me too.... and, in the round, after 16 months ish in here for me, I now feel don't particularily like or trust him.... and indeed now think 5 to 6 p ish range is a fair price for this share around this moment in time.. but great if things progress well here thru the rest of the year.. and I'd happily add some back if that turns out to be the case..

I'm very disappointed with this RNS .

Even allowing for the strong seasonality of the business, this is a very poor quarter versus my expectations.

Actions speak louder than words, so I sold approx half my curent 8.5 k ish gbp holding here around market open (in two tranches averaging about 5.75 p ish...versus my average price of 6.9p.. ouch ish...but i sold plenty at varying levels of profit previously.. so swings and roundabouts...)

This will be a low priority share in my p/f for at least the coming few months.

I think you may well be right HillPark.. and, in the interim, that the market gives their management performance here a big thumbs down may well be academic to them...as they understand themselves to be older and wiser.. they're certainly older.. here's very much to them being wiser too.. only time will tell .. (this game mostly about mathematical probability imho)

noticing this puppy has gone up decently - including going north of 1.25 p - today and taking a look in to see what people are thinking here/now.. seeing 72 posts and I've nearly fallen off my chair.. that's a lot for here.. and I'm going to take that as a good sign .. might even think about topping up / paying more attention here soon .. better read back on a lot pf posts first though.. strating tomorrow..

Generally, anyone who has played the African O&G AIM space widely will know that the lack of certainty in this game is mind boggling

This Benin commentary could be interpreted in a few different ways. While the history here tempts me to lean towards negativity about the wording, I'm instead going to go with: it's Africa and nothing ever happens on time.. and there's a decently towards considerably better than evens chance Zen.l will get this deal over the line, in due course.. (and my guess on 'due course' would be sometime Summertime)

My view is that poor q1 numbers is what the market is expecting with the current 6.5p ish s/p...

My guess is that the Q1 numbers will be decent more than poor

If a dividend or share buyback is announced that would help this rally well...but my guess is such an annoucement will not be offered this update (Q3 is the most defining Q here..so only if that was good would a dividend be offered, off the back, i'd guess )

Assuming no dividend/sharebuyback offered this update AND annual target BROADLY maintained in whatever forward guidance, here are my guesses on possible share price reaction:

Sub 20kt -invoiced sales in q1- and this will s/p will go down somewhat further
20-25kt and this will stay around 7p ish
25kt -30kt and this will rally decently
30kt-35kt and this will rally well
35kt + and this will rally very well

Thankfully you continue to add Samroy, as we'd be lower again if you didn't, seemingly...

Certainly putting your money where your mouth is; that's one seriously punchy bet you have on here.. I hope it works out for you.. it could do ... anything can happen in this game.. so who knows really..

I haven't got a clue, in truth, Hedgehog.. and I say that from a position of having played the Africa O&G space hard for plenty of years now.. but great of you're right, as that Benin deal is much needed here now.... and I continue holding a decent ish size position here ..

PS: I said yesterday : Of course you can be a holder and a bear .. because circumstances change constantly and you assess continually as you go .. and you can flip back to bull too .. and back again .. and remain a holder all along....

One eg of such is me: sometimes I think this share is a great opportunity and i just need to stay patient, other times I look at/listen to AC - and read posts like Zengas's on the Mans history in the space, on top- and see a cross between Derk Trotter and Vito Corleone and ask myself what on earth am I dong holding a position in this company ..
