Whether, if ,maybe's and "facts" aside,
The share price and the mood on this board and in general as to the future of this share has had a big boost and is on the up. Last night following a small retrench it looks like there was a concerted mini-effort to try and regain a negative agenda - just not going to happen with operational progress set to occur and an "anyday now" JV coming.
I've had my dark days on this share and still on the sea bed in terms of profit, but I am once again optimistic and this is not going to be shaken by other opinions.
Lets try today to not feed the trolls - its been working and without the nutrients provided by responses they will soon wither on the vine.

Invest4 - "Cant see if there is any progress" - this sounds like a job for our satellite super sleuths - maybe can they see evidence of activity at the locations and feedback.
Thanks Tiburn and Eazy
I found this thread gave me tremendous reassurance- could explain the slow progress to date. Cant afford by my rules to add more, but want to...
Its been a long long slog here, and shareholders are by no means out of the woods, but glimpses of a world beyond the current pain!
Momentum is here and GGS news will hopefully apply a rocket to this shares tentative upwards steps.
5p for the weekend I think

I think todays RNS is good news - great resource potential and a positive step extrapolating tangible value that s drawn from the deep relationships we are told the company has in this area - all good there.
I remain here until Anchios delivery at a minimum, but the "we are committed to developing this asset as quickly as possible" comment just sticks in my craw - the glacier-like speed development at Anchios being our guide as to likely progress - as Chariots go, this one is not a fast mover!
I urge caution also on timing - we have had court dates regularly for the past year or so - yes there is a change in the tone of recent, but there is also precedent for drift on timelines.
Personally I am optimistic for a result by the end of September (or sooner) but this shares has to date made mugs of any and all who have tried to put a plan under the progress.
I will hopefully gain chance before any news to add here on other shares hitting targets.
Every £1000 put in, could be £50,000 or more in the near future and we have a downside risk protection for the current SP provided by the Cascades project - so its not a Hail Mary all or nothing on Bhukia gamble.
Hi
Some of you seem to have a very good handle on where Mark is, and at present I feel this is very relevant. Does any of you guys in the know know if he is scehduled back to India next week?
I ask as I would expect any deals outside LCM to be announced following Mark being in India.
Im very optimistic here still, but not sure on timeline - it would be great to get a deal sooner - for all involved but we can only guess at timelines
Initial opening very positive - I did think that after Fridays rise we would see a stronger dip. The fact that we havent bodes well for today and a rising confidence that this share is on the Up will in a short time change the mindset of traders and MMs.

Great Post Biglad,
Particularly enjoyed the bit about the shareholders lifting Art aloft in celebration - this part of Art's plan shows just how much time and thought he really dedicates to his shareholders (no not that they are beneath him)- he knows he is on the more generous side of dimensions and so he is kindly increasing the total number of shareholders to lessen the relative load on each of us - what a champ!
Lets hope we can get through this week without more BH conversions - I am very optimistic for this share in the short and medium term
Stas,
Your scenario certainly fits.
In my LOI days, they were usually used to provide evidence to either lenders or guarantors that something was underway towards an agreement to justify provision of resources, or internally in large corporations to do the same.
I believe ART will have pushed for the LOI - it timelines the end of negotiations and I agree your thoughts - but only time will tell if your theory is right.
Ido very much believe a deal is in the offing however, depending on the agenda of the JVco, we could hear sooner rather than later.
matt,
i wont get drawn into share price expectations as that is for you to draw a conclusion on but after the negatives below the following in order of control are why i am feeling a little more optimistic (ive put these in my order of risk and control - mine not the companies or anyone else's);
1. gas gathering upgrade - this is underway and along with pumping some non pumped wells is anticipated to raise production - to prior highs as stated by company (if not more as inferrred by those infernal optimists). this is within the control of copl, is currently underway and should in a relatively short time period lead to a raise in production and therefore a little bit of financial breathing space.
2. rbl - oft forgotten but hopefully with new drills realising new potential reserves and increased production making us less of a risk, copl will secure an rbl
3. payment down of bh - using proceeds of 1 and 2 above. in the meantime this remains a risk - albeit some will say the main bh is for holding - however even at 2b shares issued there is a good nav per share on offer here compared to the lowly share price.
4. joint venture - ive put this last as for us shareholders, whilst the noise is positive, there is no guarantee of a result. personally i am optimistic but i realy on the other 3 points to make this investable with point 4 being an accelerant.
the share price - who knows - i have found the copl investment very humbling - i always rely on my gut and ***packet maths for assessing company prospects (ands have been relatively successful), but the bondholder impact on who owns the company is harder and my learning would be not to invest early in a company financing as we did - in fact to sell if a holder and it occurs again.
good luck and good investing!
NewKOTB,
I agree with all you say other than again. Momentum has been noticably absent from this project throughout - incredibly slow, incredibly dull - I am fortunate to be in profit whilst we wait but this is incredibly slow. We were selecting partners - what 3 months ago? I have a price in mind to sell and have stuck to it but this one tries my patience more than any other share I own.
I agree PB and Shaa,
Very positive. I would go slightly further and say that if the JV covers Carbon capture, and it proves successful, they wont JV the wider COPL fields by then - it would become critical for major established company to secure the assets moreso and COPL would be gobbled up. CC could be the difference between a modest reward for the patient (if like me you have a double digit average) or a quite spectacular return.
I am also assuming that some of the delays in our JV journey relate to Carbon capture (its new, how do you form an agreement). But I still think the main delay to date has been the JVco trying to low ball us to get a cheap deal given our dire finance position- I think the advent of "other interested parties" and Art's natural ability to look unflappable and unperturbed whilst his shareholders are taking many swift blows to the breadbasket area has brought that phase to a head.
All still to play for here I think and Art may yet dig his team out of the hole in which they have sat.
Thank you Devilbhoy and Shouston,
Production increase happening and great news, Reserves expansion (and if we get it RBL) completely normalise the business from a production and finance p.o.v. and removes BH issue, then JV hoving over the horizon - a lot to like on the face of it - all for the price of feeding the birds!
A couple of questions from me that I apologise if others have answered recently;
1. Once our production increases, if we become strongly cash positive, is there an ioption to pay interest / pay off bonds in order to reduce dilution impact?
2. In terms of an RBL (for those lucky LTH who recall we were after one), at whgat point do we have enough production from reserves to allow us to try and gain an RBL (thereby allowing us to remove BH elements much quicker - I must admit this is an element I feel is very unclear.
Appreciate any views on these items whilst we continue our sub 2p malaise this afternoon.
*see you next tuesday
given he has deleted his account and wont therefore be reading the board....
benny blanco is to ****s what coke is to cola! lol.
I am breaking out the popcorn for 8am - we could be treated to a burn up of shorters of epic proportions - here's hoping
Rare I have felt it recently, but well done ART for securing a LOI given the extended period of time to gain agreement so far. 9 months in the making so far!
I hope this pushes the sentiment positive -along with imminent increased production there is a real basis for positivity - if the share price rises we can avoid a larger bond holder dilution. There is absolutely no reason other than selling pressure for our SP to be this low.
5p by Friday? or am i too conservative....
Todays rise is a positive - imagine if the rise continues, BH's hold and everyone holding shares is a winner.
Going to happen one of these times. Till then I will use your 1.8billion shares in issue as my comparator (you were much more optimistic than my 2billion estimate you ramper!
