Really thinking of locking these shares in a box, burying in the garden and come back in 5 year’s time to see whether anything has changed.

That's not necessarily true as far as SD is concerned as the previous RNS stated both the timeline and the fact that activities are running to schedule. So when there is an announcement and possible spike in the share price there is no way it can be deemed as 'inside information' or dealing in a 'closed period'.

I’ve stopped trying to fathom this share. I am heavily invested (for me) and expect a good result ultimately but the gyrations are bizarre with more downside generally these days.
One thing they could improve upon is regular communication; but not the BS of the previous regime.

I have to say the buying pressure is starting to develop, and on the increase today. Looks like there is some confidence coming back. I’m sure some who bought speculatively at the lows will be cashing in a 25% gain but like many long-termers on this board we expect to see further increases.

Not a bad place to be ending the week. News should be on the horizon to give this a bit more impetus.

I'm pretty sure all of us who have been here some time are underwater as you say but hopefully we will bob up to the surface and beyond.

We are probably close to an update on the CPF. If that has been commissioned then we would be one step closer to gas pumping.

Agreed SD has been a significant drain on finances and when turned intro production will generate cash rather than consume it so almost a double whammy of less going out and more coming in. Everyone knows this to be a game-changer hence us all sitting on the edge of our seats.

Interesting that £500k on the bottom line equated to 1.5 - 2p increase in the share price which has held making it about right if you reckon the value of the company is increased by about $3m based on a modest p/e ratio.
Wouldn't we all love SD with a potential $12m pa to have a corresponding effect or 20 = 30p on the shares which would actually only bring us back to where we were a year ago.

Quite interesting that the rise is being driven very modest volumes. I am used to seeing it driven down on the whiff of a sale but not up. Must be the free float is actually tighter than recent posts have suggested which I suspect is the case as there must be quite a few out there like me who are not budging at these prices or before SD comes online.

A good way to build steadily without spooking the market especially if you have the time and money.

Assuming SD comes online on or near schedule then it would be completely incredible for the share price not to rise with the additional production/income locked in.

It is completely crazy that Sound Energy are valued at twice SDX and UK Oil & Gas not far behind. Both of which are basket cases as far as i can tell - i stand to be corrected on this view.

So in answer to your gambler question I would put it on black for SDX rather than red for the other two as reflected in their respective P&L accounts.

I sense some news as they buying has picked up in the last few days which makes me think someone has a sniff of this. We saw this happen before the last news from this leaky ship.

I would be happy, as I guess most of us would, to have the initial gas flowing in SD by the end of the year. Going forward it would be great to increase production with additional wells, pipeline and processing capacity but for me, that is a conversation for another day.

Great point Daft but the market is only prepared to pay what the market is prepared to pay.
However, if someone were to make a bid it may wake people up to the value here and make a substantial difference to the price.

I agree you need to get out more! But it does show that the company is earning - maybe not as much as we would like in Morrocco. Earning in Egypt as well with the prospect of more.
I just find it fascinating that many O&G outfits get inflated valuations based on potential (which often fails to happen) against a small producer where they can see actual production figures. I guess that's the beauty of AIM.

It's almost like someone is keeping the wheels turning. There seems no logic as the cost of doing so in trade fees in like throwing money down the toilet.

A more reliable guide to buying and selling is generally the movement in the share price. For example, if yesterday's trades were sells as reported then you would have expected the price to have dropped. As it stayed the same it implies that buys and sells were roughly in balance.
Plenty of caveats though such as big transactions working their way through, too many or too few shares on a market makers books to satisfy trades and many more
