It does seem that there is a bit of momentum behind the shares at the moment. Not on great volume but in tight supply such as SDX with a great majority of stock spoken for then, not a great surprise. Long may it continue until we get to a sensible valuation for this profitable outfit.

I find myself truly bemused that on positive news of upgraded reserves and the indication that there is a planned prospect to further increase production in SD with the infrastructure largely in place and little investment required that we are still languishing at these values.
It is clear with the number of shares traded today that there is no widespread interest which is really odd. I suppose, like other long-termers here, I await for others to smell the coffee!

You mean the same way SD coming online moved the needle? Don't get me wrong but I am starting to wonder what is going to cause a revaluation.

All very true, and I doubt anybody will disagree. At this stage I would estimate a 50p share price would be a fair value. However, with the required investment to double SD output and success in other areas then 50p would look pathetic.

Just my opinion but also if an opportunity arose then I would support taking on debt based on the fiscal responsibility shown by the board.

All I do know is that SD becomes cash positive rather than a development expense which, to my simple mind, means a decent increase in cash flow and cash balances increasing.

I have to agree redwine. Frustrating as it is I would like being a fly on the wall at a Waha investment meeting where they probably bemoan the performance of SDX as much as we do except they have more on the table.

Shakey I agree with the finances. I also think they will work hard to avoid the appearance of a cash drain but I suspect this quarter and the final quarter are not great for cashflow.
Good news and cash flow benefit from SD into 2020 will be welcome.

I would anticipate cash being down due to reduced production of some assets and final expenditure on SD prior to it generating cash flow in Q! next year. Also, don't expect much from Morocco but can see a gradual build into next year.
So just steady as she goes for some time to come but hopefully with positive cash flow from now on in.

I agree it would need at least one of the big holders to make a takeover feasible. I also think if a takeover were to be launched at a speculative price then others would counter bid giving something more like a realistic price.

I think things will firm up by the end of the year especially if they get to production levels. Hopefully they will put forward plans to double the production of SD as the infrastructure can take it which would be a cheap win for a good increase in profitable cash flow.

Strange - my screen is showing mainly buys which would explain a rising price. Volumes are pretty light though so I don't see anything leaking out.
I certainly continue to buy at these prices as funds allow and this trading pattern seems to be like small investors gradually topping up in the hope of the flood gates opening.

I'd be surprised if Sound survived in its current form much longer so would expect a market cap of approximately zero. On the other hand, it would be extraordinary if the SDX market cap shrunk unless SD was completely erased from the equation.

Looks like decent money for a distressed sale. Make you wonder what SDX could get for some of its assets.

I agree, just sit tight as the majority of the fourth quarter is still ahead of us. Had there been any significant changes to the timetable or some unforeseen event then they would have be duty-bound to come to the market and say so.
However frustrating this is currently I am looking forward to a reasonable Christmas present.

It is instructive that with so many apparent sells that the share price is not being adversely affected. Especially as we know how little free float there actually is in practice.

Some buying action this morning

Call me a pessimist but when SD comes online I am not sure the share price will get much over 30p even though the fundamentals are shouting differently.
