I was following the share price until you mentioned bacon and cheese wraps. Now I'm more interested in Greggs' revenue forecast than ALRT's. 😄

As for the spread and sphincter analysis, I'm not sure whether you've been studying Level 2 or anatomy textbooks.

🥕 100% agree.

Iran has every incentive to keep the Strait open for now. They need oil revenues, access to imports and time to rebuild stocks. Closing it would hurt them as much as anyone else.

My concern has never really been the next few weeks; it's what happens after that. A ceasefire reduces the immediate risk, but it doesn't necessarily remove the longer-term uncertainty.

Let's hope diplomacy wins out this time.

I'm not saying everything is back to normal. Quite the opposite. My point has always been that a ceasefire is not the same as a lasting peace agreement.

If investors were completely confident that geopolitical risks had disappeared, we wouldn't still be seeing weakness across major indices. Markets are weighing up geopolitics, inflation, interest rates, economic growth and company-specific risks, which suggests uncertainty remains.

That said, I'm simply responding to posts I don't agree with and having my say, just like everyone else. Debate and differing opinions are what discussion boards are for. Feel free to tell me where I'm wrong.

Good to see a few million-plus buys going through. 👍

I've just completed a dummy buy and sell for 1,000,000 shares. I can currently sell at 1.371p and buy at 1.42p, so the spread appears to be tightening.

Not a guarantee of anything, but a narrowing spread is generally a positive sign and can indicate improving liquidity and market confidence.

Personally, I think anyone considering buying at 1.42p could be looking at a very attractive entry point, given the potential upside if the company delivers on the opportunities currently in front of it.

Carrot, that's exactly my concern.

26 ships getting through is positive, but the market seems to be assuming everything is now back to normal. Meanwhile the planned US-Iran talks have already been postponed, which isn't the smoothest start to a 60-day negotiation process.

Thousands more ships still have to transit Hormuz and it only takes one incident, one miscalculation or one breakdown in negotiations for sentiment to change very quickly.

For now the market is focused on what has gone right. I'm keeping one eye on what could still go wrong. 🚢⚠️

However, economic uncertainty, rising unemployment and the potential shift towards staycations could make it harder to maintain these growth rates indefinitely.

The market will decide whether today's demand is a peak or a platform for further growth.

I probably do think out loud at times. I'd rather challenge my investment case than blindly follow it. It's also fun and encourages me to keep researching and stay up to speed with developments.

As for Wako, that's another story. Although my posting here is relatively new, I've unfortunately had the pleasure of reading plenty of his posts. 😄

My view is simple: listen to what people have to say, consider their opinion, then either agree, disagree, dismiss it or post a counterargument and move on. I've never felt the need to filter someone simply because their views don't align with my own.

As for boats to Crete and hobnobbing, I'll leave that to others. Personally, I'm still trying to work out whether Wako's next post will be about ALRT, Greggs sausage rolls, or both. 😄

If he did ever make a serious run at it, defence would certainly be front and centre of the debate.

I think that's a ridiculous suggestion.

The Strategic Defence Review is a matter of national security and long-term defence planning. It doesn't simply get put on the back burner because of political manoeuvring or a potential leadership contest.

If anything, the current geopolitical environment makes defence capability and investment more important, not less.

Putting the SDR on hold now would be a bit like having your arms tied behind your back, wearing lead boots and standing on the end of a jetty.

I wouldn't be surprised if we have another Trump statement today.

Love him or loathe him, the market often reacts first and asks questions later.

In the current environment, a single headline can move oil, airlines and broader market sentiment within minutes.

Interesting that EPS forecasts have been cut, yet the consensus price target has increased.

That doesn't exactly scream "strong sell" to me. It suggests analysts are becoming more cautious on earnings but still see value around current levels.

Personally, I still think a move towards the £10.50 area looks increasingly plausible given the uncertainty surrounding the ceasefire and wider geopolitical situation.

The market will decide.

I'm more interested in the impact on oil, airspace, costs and earnings than people's political views.

Let's keep the discussion focused on Wizz.

There's plenty of blame being thrown around, but from a market perspective the key point is that tensions remain high and the diplomatic process appears fragile.

For investors, it doesn't really matter whose side you're on. What matters is whether the ceasefire holds, whether negotiations continue, and what that means for oil prices, airspace restrictions and market sentiment.

The situation remains highly uncertain, which is why I still think it's too early to talk about a lasting peace. On that basis, a move back into the mid to high £10s is becoming increasingly plausible, in my opinion.

Madmat, I think we're broadly on the same hymn sheet.

I can see the case for a gradual move towards £12–£13 if the ceasefire holds and sentiment continues to improve. However, I also think investors need to remember how quickly things can change. It could drift higher, but it could also turn south gradually or very suddenly if there is a flare-up or an unexpected announcement.

Trump, in particular, has a history of making comments that move markets, sometimes significantly, so that remains a risk factor in the background.

For now, the trend looks more positive than it did a few weeks ago, but I don't think the market can completely relax until something more permanent is agreed.

Although the memorandum has been signed, I still get the feeling that today's market reaction reflects uncertainty.

Overall, markets appear very uncertain at the moment. Concerns around economic growth, rising unemployment and the wider geopolitical backdrop continue to weigh on sentiment. While the agreement is a positive step, investors seem to be waiting for greater clarity before fully committing.

Based on all of this, I still think we'll revisit the mid-to-high £10s at some point.

I genuinely don't mind either way. If the share price rises, my existing holding benefits. If it falls back into the £10 range, I'll happily add more.

Either way, I think the longer-term opportunity remains attractive, which is why I'm not top-slicing at the moment.

STB – I disagree.

Revenue is important, but for a company at ALRT's stage, value is often created before significant revenues arrive. Partnerships, product development, MOD engagement and commercial traction are all building blocks towards larger contracts.

The market will ultimately judge the revenue, but the groundwork being laid today is exactly why many investors are interested. 👍

Warrie, you make some fair points.

In small caps, positive news can sometimes lead to selling if investors expect a fundraising.

That said, today’s share price move doesn’t necessarily mean the market is pricing in a placing. It could simply be profit-taking while investors wait for stronger commercial progress.

Ultimately, what matters is whether the company can turn its progress into meaningful revenue and contracts.
