Fume - I hope you're right, but wars rarely end as quickly or as neatly as people expect.

A settlement would be great for Wizz, but I'm not pricing it in until there's something concrete.

I suspect the market has already priced in a US/Iran agreement to a large extent, but investors should remember that it isn't the whole picture.

There has not been a full end to the Israel/Lebanon tensions, with reports of continued hostilities and accusations of ceasefire breaches. The geopolitical risk premium hasn't disappeared overnight.

For Wizz, a genuine and lasting de-escalation across the region would clearly be positive. But until the situation settles, I think a degree of caution is still sensible.

The upside is easy to imagine. The downside still deserves consideration.

A bit of harmless fun seems to have generated far more discussion than I expected.

Nobody claimed it was a shareholder census. It was simply a way of engaging with the silent readers, and 65 people were happy to join in.

Some saw the fun in it. Two others chose to complain about it. Different strokes for different folks.

The only thing I'd say is that not every post needs to be turned into a debate. Sometimes a bit of harmless fun is just that.

We can disagree on the investment case and still keep the board enjoyable.

The peace deal, in my opinion, would be a tailwind for the housebuilders.

Lower energy prices could ease inflation, improve the interest rate outlook and help mortgage affordability.

It won't solve every problem overnight, but it would certainly be a step in the right direction for the sector.

Of course I don't believe a few ticks measure the total level of interest in a share, and I never claimed they did. It was just a bit of fun and a way of encouraging people to engage with each other.

As for "virtually nobody reads these boards", this little exercise actually showed that at least 65 people were happy to participate when previously we had no idea they were there.

If interest in the company grows and a similar exercise is repeated in the future, it gives us a simple benchmark to compare against. It's hardly scientific, but it is an indication.

It's also worth noting that far more readers were happy to join in than, like yourself, felt the need to make negative noise about it. A glass-half-empty person comes to mind.

If this becomes a wider trend, the market may worry about margins across the housebuilding sector. On the other hand, if it's just one builder clearing stock, the impact on the rest of the sector could be limited.

I would expect the news to be mildly negative for sentiment, but not necessarily a game changer unless other builders start reporting similar levels of discounting.

It will be interesting to see how the market reacts tomorrow.

At least we now have a yardstick to measure the level of interest. As I mentioned in a previous post, if I or anyone else decides to do the same in the future, this figure can be used as a benchmark.

JCEP - Great post and well worth viewing. It reinforces the potential opportunity for ALRT and the direction of travel for sovereign AI and defence technology.

Nothing is guaranteed, but it certainly adds weight to the broader investment case.

Sundenza-Totally agree. A deal may happen, but no deal is a very real possibility. If there's no progress, I wouldn't be surprised to see a significant drop as expectations unwind.

Jackbag69er Excellent post! A fact-based response backed up by the RNS rather than emotion. Whether people agree or disagree, that's the sort of debate that adds value.

Manifesto, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and some concerns are genuinely held beliefs.

Healthy debate is good for any investment forum. The difficulty is that sometimes people speak naively, and occasionally envy or another agenda can creep into the discussion. You get that in all walks of life.

Personally, I'd rather focus on facts, research and news flow, and let time decide who was right. As for TWK and Laura, I'll just let them have their say and concentrate on the investment case.

I tend to agree with everything you both post. Funny enough, I was just about to post something similar.

If ALRT continues to secure partnerships, progress MoD projects and convert early trials into commercial contracts, I think we could see meaningful growth well before the full long-term story plays out.

Nobody knows where the share price will be—not even Mystic Meg—but successful execution over the next 1-6 months could change perceptions very quickly.

Manifesto, I think we're singing from the same hymn sheet when it comes to the timescale.

Could the upcoming UK defence investment plan provide a tailwind for companies operating in sovereign AI and defence technology?

Will ALRT's strategic partnerships translate into commercial contracts over the next 6-12 months?

Are investors underestimating the value of being positioned in a sector that appears to be receiving increasing political attention?

What do people think is the single biggest catalyst for ALRT from here: a contract award, a new partnership, or wider sector sentiment?
