@Bigtimebilly You can trade with whatever you have in your ISA. If you have £100k, then you can buy and sell till your hearts content without any CGT as long as you don't withdraw it from inside the ISA wrapper. £20k is only the limit of how much you can put into your ISA's in a tax year.

@Bigtimebilly No CGT if your trading inside an ISA.Stamp duty is 0.5%. It's still possible if you have balls of steel.

Um, very strange selling patterns. Is someone trying to push this down or any other reasons?

In the replies to DH's tweet announcing PubMatic as a new partner, DH said 'Been a long year but am really positive re 2026' in response to questions about revenue and profitability. Lets hope so.

I don't think they are able to accept trade instruction over the phone either tbh.

@Seaking21 Basically because of the huge costs involved. They use what are called 'risk and revenue' sharing partnerships.

Risk and revenue sharing partners share both the costs/risks so it's not such a massive loss, to one, if the project fails. If the project is successful then all parties share the profit revenue. It's very a common method of funding expensive projects like new engine development.

Where did this 'announcement' come from? I only remember reading that there were rumours of a meeting with politicians. Maybe I missed the announcement bit, buried in a load of geo-political mumbo jumbo.

It appears that Hargreaves Lansdown's website is down and customers are unable to log in and trade so that'll be no panic sells for me.

Ultrafan is for both narrow and wide body aircraft. The Ultrafan 30 is a circa 30,000lb thrust variant intended for the narrow body market and Ultrafan 80 is a circa 80,000lb variant intended for the wide body market. I believe the Ultrafan 80 is more closely related to the current Ultrafan tech demo engine.

I’ve never heard of them but a quick search shows that PUBM are a $387m mcap, Nasdaq listed company with a current sp of $8.25. Hope some of that rubs off on us tomorrow!

Hopefully news on funding for Ultrafan 30? Would they do an SMR announcement in Derby, the hub of the Civil aerospace division? Sorry, just guessing.

The major issue, as I see it, is rising oil prices/potential shortages of oil. Once oil prices rise then so does the cost of just about everything else including JetA1.

Major increases in flight cost, coupled with higher cost of living and people start to reduce their holidays/flights, leading to reduced flying hours and reduced revenue for RR.

The only upside is that when fuel costs increase significantly airline start looking at upgrading older aircraft in their fleet to newer more efficient ones, hopefully with RR engines.

The London Stock Exchange only publishes that a trade has taken place, not whether it was a buy or sell. Websites like this one use an algorithm based on the bid (the price you would be offered if you were selling shares) and ask(the price you would be offered if you were buying shares) to best guess whether that trade is indeed a buy or sell. If the trade price is somewhere in between the bid and ask price it doesn't know and will put it as unknown and in black.

It is not always correct in these 'guesses' and a trade can incorrectly show as a buy or sell when it is the opposite.

Saying all that, based on the bid and ask price at the time of those big trades and the fact the share price increased after, I would best guess that they were buys.
