It certainly does look desperate.

Do AIM companies normally take this long to publish results? I noticed last year the year end results were published in early August. That's over 4 months after year end.

I'm inclined to vote the board out. Luckily for them, their actions have meant that I have have a much smaller holding.

Voting them out => small positive return as the assets are stripped, and justice served to a corrupt bunch who have screwed the small share holder and treated us with utter contempt.

Vote for them to stay => A very small chance of a modest (or large) return a very long way off, and if the large return has any chance of happening at all you can be dammmn sure that this BoD will have an attitude of "shareholders don't deserve that much - how can we redirect the cash into our pockets and give them less".

Justice please.

The one positive I see at the moment is that the negative enterprise value should reduce to some degree if they pay out a dividend of 10p to 12p. It would seem that some of this reduction happened as the price rose from approx 18p to approx 19p (interestingly this happened the day before the RNS release of the capital release.

So your share price + dividend (after dividend is paid) should be worth more than the current share price.

My reasoning is that (in the extreme hypothetical scenario) if they were to release 20p per share as a dividend this would cost them almost all the cash that they have and they would have released more cash than the current market capitalisation, but the share price wouldn't go negative.

There are not many companies that can boast of such a negative enterprise value.

PVX, I don't think that's what enterprise value means. The enterprise value is that market cap minus the (Assets after deducting debts).

At 190p there the market cap far exceeded the cash value.

Maybe they are being intentionally vague about the numbers... "Release 35m to 40m... keep about 20m" ... Looks better than giving out the real numbers and showing that we have negative £10m for the enterprise value.

I found that strange.

Total settlement for Nanoco = $90m. At $1.25 to £1 that gives £72m. Cash last Autumn ~£6m. Cash burn by Feb next year £3m-£4m?

Return £33m - £40m to shareholders.

That leaves £36m - £43m.

How to they end up retaining £20m? Big directors bonuses of £15m - £20m?

I'm not so sure about that BeContrarian... This special dividend will leave £35m - £40m of cash. That secures the directors pay for a long future period... far longer than they will be in their roles if they do not commercialise.

I don't have a legal background, but since what you describe sounds very much like recent events (shareholders believing articles in widely read newspapers that had misleading figures), I don't think lack of warning is anything to go by.

That's a refreshingly fair point NGR... but If I'm asking myself "Should I invest here? Do I think the chances of making good returns are good?". I would also ask myself "Do Brian Tenner and the rest of the Board think that they should invest here? Do Brian Tenner and the Board think the chances of making good returns are good?"

And their answer to both questions, when taking into account other opportunities is "No".

...If I were in their shoes I would have put my money in LOAM for better returns.... I wonder... did Henry Turcan have any gravy to spare...

Shareholder's sure were happy to sell that 1.5% though, and so it really it didn't move the share price.

One painful lesson I have learned through Nanoco is to follow those 'in the know'. You can really believe in a company's announcements, and you can really believe in the principle that the market is right (because it is set by those in the know like LOAM)... and you can be very torn and confused when the actions of those in the know conflict with the announcements of the company, as we have seen here.

If there were any prospects here at all then those in the know - the BoD - would have put their money where their mouth is, and they haven't.

So I'm sorry to say that the share price will not be going up on Monday. Full stop.

Why is it unrealistic Intrusive? I hope you have some insight. Samsung and Nanoco managed to hammer out a shat deal in 30 days.

You are correct Kooba. Brian Tenner is like Robin Hood... but the Robin Hood that robbed the poor to give to his rich mates.

One thing that we can be most certain of now. Nanoco is not "going after other infringers". The deal was signed on 3 February, and it is now 14 June. No licenses sold to the alleged infringers. No litigation against alleged infringers.

Oh well... just more BS from BT.
