Here's my prediction. This share will hit 15p before it gets above 20p. I outlined my reasons yesterday - on the basis that no company can extract the cash from Nanoco without paying a large premium on the current share price, and it simply wouldn't be worth their while to pay that premium.

And NGR you compare the $150m scenario with the $300m scenario as through they sit on a sliding scale of Nanoco prosperity that goes from 0 to 10 where zero settlement is 0 and $300m settlement is 10.

That is simply not the case, as you know.

A settlement was priced in to the share price based on expectations that BT set in his communications to the market, as I hope you can comprehend.

The scale should is actually minus 10 to plus 10.

$500m sits at 0 on the scale! (as you know)

$300m sits at minus 3. (as you know)

$150 sits at about minus 7. (as you know)

$0 sits at minus 10. (as you know)

I didn't sell at $150m. As I said, I sold 4 weeks ago. I sold nothing before 4 weeks ago, at which point I sold 95% of my holding, and that was because nothing is happening here. NOTHING.

I was also holding for 7 years, not that I need to justify myself to you.

You are kidding yourself about the cake. It means nothing because BT said it.

This is a gamble - pure and simple, because the management can't be trusted in what they say. However, I like a punt and I will buy in again later this year/next year if it looks right relative to my other prospects.

If Nanoco had walked away with $300m (without giving away the patents) I wouldn't have sold a single share. I only started selling 4 weeks ago as I saw a better prospect.

Since you refer to speed you must me talking about the trading after the news came out. Well there was nothing to it really. It's easy to make a killing in the market if you know the news before it's in the public domain.

NGR, No IP that Nanoco can monetise is validated. Nanoco has validated IP for Samsung.

I'm sorry I don't buy it. If new information came to light at the 11th hour, then heads would roll.

If the legal team missed something, they would have been blamed. If someone on the Board made an error then there would be a scapegoat. The Board would not accept being blamed collectively.

BT did not capitulate. I have previously agreed that he did, but he did not. What he did was far worse than that. He was always willing to accept a low offer and he therefore knew all along that a low settlement is what we would get. This case was never going to finish at the Supreme Court with a fixed compensation amount imposed on Samsung. It was ALWAYS going to be settled at some point.

So we could never do better than the low settlement the Board had agreed to accept.

What BT did wrong (one of the things) was to lie and exaggerate the value that was due to us. This was exacerbated, inexcusably by the fact that BT knew that the largest shareholder knew (within a small margin of error) what the settlement amount was. Hence the new shareholders piling and LOAM selling out. What kind of fund would do that if they thought the settlement was multiples higher?!

This is the kind of asymmetry of information that the regulations are supposed to stop!

The European customer is already using it... We'll get the news in a few months that we are taking them to court.

Looks like shareholders are getting that Friday FOMO.

Yeah, look on the bright side... those who held their Nanoco shares in a standard trading account now have a large capital loss that they can offset against future capital gains. Make sure you note it on your tax return.
This is a valuable asset under the current conservative government... or a labour government.

Investing in Nanoco has it's perks.

It really should be imminent, NGR. It is now 12 weeks since the settlement.
No news on signed contracts with the many other companies that were supposedly infringing.
No news on legal action against them.
How long should this take?

Absolutely right IDL. They are not doing it. Because aren't going to get the big bumper bonuses that previous preferred shareholders got.
No reason to fill your boots either. This is worth less than the cash unless you believe that the tech can be commercialised.

Why is it worth less than the cash? Well because if a buyer came along to pay the cash value we would all get excited thinking that they wanted the tech. Any we would insist on a significant premium above the cash value.

So no. This is going to dwindle further until commercialisation. It's only value at the moment is as a cash cow for the corrupt *****s who run the company.

Shame Tony. There just aren't enough sensible people out there to buy up the shares.

It's nice that we can pick these little treasures up for under 18p though. Soon we will be able to get them for 17p.

If you don't want to look at yourself you can always used that argument to explain away you being the common denominator.
