Nothing wrong with Truss - We have a **** governor of the bank of England. Look at the timings of his 'renege on our responsibilities as the BoE' statements during that period and ask yourself why the bond markets really took fright.

That's right ddubya. He chose not to include any of the settlement rationale in the official interim RNS. He also unfortunately chose not to include any of the rationale for accepting such a low settlement in any of his presentations throughout the calendar year of 2022.

And we can be certain of one thing. If anything that would weaken the case had emerged at the time of the settlement, he certainly would have told us, so save his own ass and reputation.

Am I missing something here? I had thought that the factory was gifted at a point when Apple believed they would partner with us. Is it actually the case that they gifted the factory after they knew that was not the case? Seems overly generous to me?

Yes, dependent on the USD exchange rate. $15m ($75m minus $60m) should have been paid now and $75m is coming next year.

Not sure why Samsung would have requested to delay the 2nd tranche for a year... but I imagine that Nanoco wanted a delay it so that they have an excuse to not pay a special dividend this year.... that buys more time for a commercial deal before deciding on the special dividend.

I say special dividend. It's really not very special at all, and for every penny that they give us as a special dividend the share price will drop by a penny once it has been paid.
