I don’t understand all the science, but the message seems pretty clear to me.

We’ve got great MOA chemistry. We tried it with 6000 and proved it. In fact it worked so well we dropped 3996, a good drug but not “knock your socks off”, and pivoted to something offering a massive increase in therapeutic index across a much wider range of commercial opportunity. And at the same time we’ve said “oh, and by the way, there’s something even better than that in the pipe”.

So who wants it…..form a queue please.

As an aside, I downloaded the Hormona app - I have to say it looks incredibly professional and well put together.

I think there is definitely are decent market for this. Hormona have been gradually building to launch and seem to be pretty slick.

If I have any concern for us its this - we know for a fact that we were involved in the development of the Hormona Wellness Test, and personally I think AppDX may be integrated into the companion App, but nobody from Abingdon has been reacting to Hormona social media posts in the same way they do for Loop, Upfront, 52N etc. May mean absolutely nothing, but that lack of interest in what seems to be a pretty imminent launch might mean we didn't get a manufacturing contract? I might e-mail the company and ask if we are still involved.

There seems to be little interest in this here, but I really don't think it can be .

By my reckoning we owe something like $19m in secured and unsecured debt. If we do get the diamonds, they need to be worth a lot!

We owe ANAF, the tax authorities, $6.8m

We owe other trade creditors $2.6m

Sinarom owes the tax man $486k

The reorganisation plan allows us to repay all this over 4 years based on affordability.

According to the schedule in the accounts, that’s a repayment of between $3m and $4m each year.

And all this excludes secured creditors.

One other thing to look out for is Hormona.

They have significantly beefed up their site to givefar more detail than before about its wellness test. Well worth looking through this, and reading the Q&A’s (some at the top and some further down the page). Highlights for me are;

The tests are quantitative, not qualitative.

Comparable sensitivity to blood tests

Tests are being offered globally

1st of its kind.

Officially available early 2025, although currently being “beta tested” with some customers.

Importantly, it’s worth remembering as well here that this is a monitoring tool; it’s not a one time test.

I would add, though, that one of the potential benefits of IDAP inclusion is that government agencies forming that scheme can expedite entry of a device in to use. It may be therefore, that full trial results from RADAR won’t be needed.

These two IDAP schemes will come good I’m sure. When, is the question, and so is whether investors will be patient enough to wait.

“Can’t be long” is the issue though isn’t it.

The Upfront trial results I’m looking out for are US based ones the CEO said would be published “in the next few weeks” during an interview with Odelle about a month ago.

But we also have the U.K. based RADAR study, which was due to be finished and reported on by the end of this year.

But I checked the RADAR trial records just now, which now show that in September these dates were pushed back by 6 months. They also show two new hospital trial sites were added, and confirm the whole trial is being funded by government.

So we have a government backed extensive trial which I’m sure will result in NHS uptake, but which is taking longer to conclude.

Unfortunately, “can’t be long” seems frustratingly to be a little off the mark.

I’ve said Upfront is, for me, the most exciting near term prospect for us, and in that respect more trial results should be published shortly.

But we mustn’t forget 52 North, our other customer selected for IDAP. They’ve been on a bit of a recruitment drive lately, and now we have the National Medical Director of NHS England using them as an example, at a BIVDA reception in Parliament, of how near patient diagnostics can improve treatment and therapy.

Sentiment is understandably low at the moment, but for my money we have two products almost certain to be taken up by the NHS, with one of them perhaps as early as Jan/Feb.

Still digesting the budget, but these stuck me in regards to IHT.

Pension pots will now become fully liable to IHT if passed to anyone other than spouse. That's huge.

IHT relief on lifetime gifts, currently fully exempt if donor survives 7 years, will now only be fully exempt after 10.

So, that means the government is after far more IHT. AIM will still offer a significant IHT saving, so who is to say people don't strip their pensions and invest proceeds rather than sit idly for the tax to bite or in the hope they live longer after making gifts.

Seems to me that AIM is still an attractive place to be for many, and indeed may even offer one of the better IHT mitigation routes now....

Seems to have plenty in the budget to support Life Sciences R&D, and specific funding for diagnostic hubs to move healthcare into the community. No know how that might directly help us, but it certainly doesn't hurt and is yet further indication of the direction of travel for healthcare in the UK.

And if I understood it correctly, IHT relief on AIM stock (I am assuming if still held for 2 years) has been cut by 50% rather than abolished as some feared.

Well I’m with PL on this. Seems to me it would be a complete own goal and may well end up hurting much more than it helps governmental objectives.

Wasn’t intending on starting a political debate here. I just think Weds could be a good day if budget rumours (as they affect IHT/AIM) are put to bed and the science day proves successful.

Seems to me the suggestion that Reeves might remove/restrict reliefs is weighing on the AIM mkt generally. Personally I think there’s no chance she’ll do it. Runs entirely contrary to an investment/growth agenda and the resulting impact on the exchange/capital markets risks comparison to the Truss mini budget. Not a great look for a first labour budget in years!

Yep, a PDC with an Exatecan warhead, which from what I can see was Cybrexa’s “pathfinder”.

As it transpires, the initial collaborator pulled out in April.

Of course, we’ve proven our mechanism of action with our pathfinder….
