I get the “confidence” argument, but for me that only makes sense if there was a need to infuse confidence at the time. That could have been because he needed to protect the value of a significant shareholding, or the company was looking to raise and needed to support the SP, but neither was true.

He just stuck in £31k with full knowledge of the company position, which makes little sense to me. Why didn’t he just wait until after the results? Maybe he’ll add more now!

There’s lots of comments following publication of the results about cash runway and funding. I get those.

But surely Gilham wouldn’t have shoved £31k in at 3.1p if he shared those concerns, particularly when he would have had a really good understanding of the FY trading figures and outlook when he did so?

He’s currently c£10k down on that trade after 3 months - unless he has info we don’t, like post period trading info/outlook, then I just don’t get why he did it.

It does Ant. I’m expecting a TU in Jan but can’t say I’m particularly looking forward to it. Revenue will certainly rise because 100% of CS and Ivdeology revenue will be included, but integrating new businesses creates early cost friction in my experience which is likely to impact EBIT until full integration benefits can be realised.

And I have noticed we’ve had no news about LTIP awards yet, when in previous years thats come almost immediately after the results or the AGM, but perhaps that owes to impending FD/NED appointments, with awards announced after that?

More on the trade mission. Looks a very professional set up and Yates focus is clearly to get Indian distribution agreements for Salistick, Loop and Upfront.

We’ve had no FD since Andrew Feather (himself an interim) left a while ago. Instead Yates took responsibility, with a newly promoted Group Financial Controller reporting to him.

But we know they’ve been looking to hire, and I think we must have secured somebody now Yates has transitioned into more of a commercial role, spending half his life abroad on behalf of the company.

Hoping for FD and NED announcements before Xmas.

I’m sure the unsecured trade and tax debt can now be repaid over 4 years. Those are debts of Vast Baita Plai in Romania.

I’m not so sure about the Alpha or Mercuria debts, which I think are Vast Resources Plc debt and, of course, the U.K. PLC is not subject to the Romanian insolvency proceedings. Add to that that neither the Alpha or Mercuria debt is included as debts over which a payment plan has been agreed (as per note 20 in the accounts).

A little one here, but Yates reposted this article about HN51 being found in raw milk in the US. this week.

Now, there a plenty of issues Yates might constantly react to like Mpox, AMR etc - but he doesn't. He does, however, routinely react to pieces about Bird Flu which just strengthens my view that we have an HN51 test in the pipe.

Not worth much now, unless of course cases of mammalian and human transfer continue to rise and what's now a little problem becomes much bigger.

An observation only but in its periodic reports, Genscript Bio continue to attribute a “fair value” to its Affyxell holding. The last report was published in Sept, giving a $710k value as at 30/6 for its 1.13% holding in the company. By my reckoning that would make our 21% “worth” something like $13.2m.

We have no liability iro of DCA arrangements, but as yet I think it’s unclear if we have liability in DCA arrangements.

Worth noting this FCA consultation. In short, following the recent court rulings the FCA are expecting a surge in non DCA complaints and are consulting on giving firms more time to deal with them.

Another little observation - ABDX posted this today about Yates upcoming trips to India. Pretty tame, but I did notice the comment that he will be promoting Salistick and LvOne, both being products which are available for distribution.

That’s the first time I’ve seen any comment suggesting LvOne is now commercially available, and the first time I’ve seen mention of Salistick moving into another territory.

Interesting that Silvercorp are raising capital to invest in copper/gold projects outside of China. Not a stretch to think that means CLA given their existing involvement with us. Remember, we’re after project financing, not corporate.

So, I last posted about Folium at the end of last year, and tbh I’ve been disappointed to see pretty much nothing from them since.

That is until the last two weeks when Yates started reacting to posts from a new LinkedIn account in the name Swiftr Bio.

If you recall, Swiftr was a new molecular test from Folium for the detection of salmonella in chickens. It seems they have since expanded their range under the general branding of Swiftr Biosensor.

Given this post in particular, I think it very safe to say we’re involved.

All that said, I agree with what Gubbie said earlier, which is that it seems nothing but contract news or great trading figures will move the SP north.
