Every RNS since July (and probably before, I haven’t checked) has blurb at the bottom about Vast including;

“In Zimbabwe, the Company is preparing for the release of its diamonds previously mined by the Company and preparing for their marketing. Upon the finalisation of the process the Company will recommence its focus on the finalisation of the mining agreement on the Community Diamond Concession in the Marange Diamond Fields.”

Just an observation but this para is missing from todays RNS. Probably irrelevant?

I think what I was trying to say SW is that I think they are likely the owner, having bought it early the product development and only now developing the site given the product has launched. But could easily be wrong.

In terms of ads, I'd love to see a TV , poster, radio, or paper ads campaign, but that's costly I suspect and may not be the best answer in this new tech age that honestly I feel out of date with. Our target market, however, will be much more tech and social media savvy.

Thanks - you clearly know more about this stuff than me! I suppose though that if I was developing a test I was going to name Salistick, then I'd certainly look to register the domain name Salistick.com early in that development. I only posted it because I regularly search under "Salistick" for anything new and I'd never seen this pop up until recently, and thought it potentially linked to the other site I posted on this thread which certainly has work going on with it.

Slow here, so for anyone interested the CEO at Senzo did this podcast a few days ago. It's just under an hour, but gives a good sense of what Senzo are up to. They're looking to get their first products into clinical trials in Q1 next year for the purposes of FDA approval, although of course to get to that point tests would need to be properly developed.

Seems to me that debt extension news may well be linked to the expected timing of the diamond recovery. On the BP production, the optimist in me hopes AP wanted to see if we hit nameplate during the July before publishing the Q2 numbers, which we already know will show breakeven

AP said in his interview that the delay in diamond news is because they need to agree a legal process to get them back in compliance with the Precious Stones Act and the Kimberley process.

It says

“

(1) Except as provided in this Act, no person shall deal in or possess precious stones unless he is— (a) a licensed dealer; or

(b) a permit holder; or

(c) the holder of a mining location or a tributor who has lawfully recovered such precious stones in terms of

any enactment; or

(d) the employee or agent of any person referred to in paragraph (a), (b) or (c) who is authorized by his

employer or principal to deal in or possess on his behalf precious stones; and deals in or possesses the

precious stones in accordance with this Act.”

Apologies for my ignorance, but does anyone know if we still hold a relevant permit/licence? If we don’t, could this be the reason for the delay? If not, can anyone see any other niggle in the Act that could explain things?

Just for info, but this site has gone password protected, presumably whilst they finish its development. Perhaps when it goes live we might see a renewed marketing push?

Strange - I checked the SD site to check which of their stores had it in stock, and went into the two most local. Both had it on display. How many they are selling, I don’t know.

So, he did say “around the middle of the month”. I accept there has been a major incident, but that was in July and should not impact the Q2 production numbers in any way.

What I like about our CDMO proposition is that we’re de-risked. We get paid to help develop, scale up, and get reg approval for a product, thereby leaving the development risk elsewhere, but if a product gets commercialised then we stand a great chance of making and distributing it. Sure, our margins will be lower, but we have all seen how badly things can go wrong if you’ve borne all the cost of development but then can’t sell (ABC19)

Worth noting as well that in the March interims we were told ABDX is working with 11 new CDMO customers. I don’t think you could put Alta, Conidia, Zoetis, DCN or Senzo in this group (although customers of the latter 2 could be), and so ABDX are working possibly 7 other CDMO projects about which we know nothing.

So, the stuff we know about is exciting, but even that is less than half the whole story.

In his interview earlier in the month AP, in a line of questions over the parcel, said “we still believe we”re heading towards a company maker, just a month late”. If we assume it was supposed to be sorted by end June then, if he’s to be believed(!), that would indicate end of July.

Is the delay in publication of the BP production report, details of which must have been known to the company for a while, in some way linked to other announcements AP might make, perhaps about the parcel?

I just can’t see why he would delay the report unless there was a timing angle somewhere…

I believe in this company, its proposition, its potential markets, and the BOD. What the company hasn't been good at it is giving us poor shareholders or the wider market more information about the projects they are working on, leaving us to discover what we can, and when we do its only us lot on here who will know about it! Just imagine if ABDX were to release RNS's detailing progress on the first ever Sepsis lateral flow test, or first ever LVO stroke test, both of which could be significant revenue earners if global healthcare organisations took them up.

I can only assume they are limited in what they can say by their customers, and if that's the case then we may not hear anything until tests are CE marked and commercialised. Perhaps that will be in the next few months, who knows!

On why the BP production report hasn't appeared yet? Is there some timing angle?

Yates has been liking posts from these guys for a while. They offer a product called FuelStat, which is a lateral flow test to test for contamination in fuel. Their site says they currently sell about 100,000 of these annually (don’t know the price), and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if we helped develop and are manufacturing it given Yates persistent interest.

Apologies for my ignorance, but can anyone help me understand why the placing was done in 2 tranches rather than one? Is that usual? Is it coincidence that the second tranche is expected to be admitted around the same time as the BP results are published?

Just seems to me that those more likely to know what’s going on behind the scenes seem pretty relaxed. Lenders extended without penalty; Capstone increasing; Placing away at a normal discount.

Sure there are things to worry about, but this looks a decent bet to me with punt money.
