I have been involved in all 3 of these shares (above), still holding 2 including Avacta of course which I believe has the strongest and most potential of the 3.

That said, are many seeing the value of being in all 3? The market is huge here so there is space for a number of players. I guess the question is whether the success of 1 negates the other.

For me if Avacta gets highly accurate Rapid home testing kit to market in high volumes, then the early mover advantage that Novacyt is currently enjoying could come under strong pressure as people will want the faster, easier administered testing kit. So that is why my focus is more on Avacta. Now any successes for Novacyt in the interim or any delays by the competition could still bring that share nice gains.

Whats are the thoughts on Avacta vs GDR. Do we see space for both of them being successful in this space or does the success for one detract from the other.

It clearly has exciting prospects but the rises have taken place on pure hype so far.

Anyone investing at these levels needs to ensure it is a speculative punt.

I think we have mentioned before that the head of Avacta articulates himself very well with the press. As we know scientists are normally cautious to show confidence unless they can back up their words.

So this particular part of the last statement is particularly pleasing from the head of Avacta:

"I very much look forward to updating the market on progress with Cytiva and on other commercial partnerships in relation to coronavirus testing that we are pursuing."

Not 'I look forward to', but 'I very much look forward to'. That is clearly the words of a confident man at the helm. Also remember Avacta has been courting the media lately on it's work. You do not do that unless you have confidence in your team to have a strong chance of delivering the goods.

The professional manner the ship has been run thus far is the reason I continue to Hold. As the head of Avacta is clearly knowledgeable in his field when you look at his track record and the credentials of partners such as Cytiva is very encouraging.

Agreed the MMs are trying to hold this back again as well as some sells clearing out too.
We saw this earlier in the week in terms of a 4p spread before the SP pushed through again. Normally the spread is 1-2p

10K block buys coming through at the moment.

So hopefully we see the second push again as people get into the share ahead of possible next day news.

Ok thanks Yoda, yes around £1.20 / £1.22 was mentioned previously as resistance points without news.

Given the weight of buying and interest in the company hopefully it can push through that.

Furthermore, we know we are expecting news in the next week (maybe days as remember Avacta has been coming in ahead of it's own timelines). Also news has been coming in at different points of the day. I remember one of the RNSs was in the afternoon which took me by surprise. Of course as any share rises, people will be thinking of profit points as well as dipping in and out. But I think most of the investors who have been in this share for a while want to ensure they are "in" rather than out as we get more news on how things are progressing in the solving the 'rapid Antigen testing on a mass global scale' need.

I have not posted here for a few days but I can see the board is doing a great job in sharing information with each other.

I know we talked about resistance points without news and of course this can move a bit too.

Does our fellow poster have any updated information on resistance points without news.

Given the strength of the continued block 10k buyer, other institutional buyers getting on board and more people in general becoming aware of this company and it's role it has to play in what is becoming one of the global needs around Covid19 and our path back to a new normal, I wonder how this will push back the resistance points too. Furthermore, we are awaiting news updates. As is the world awaiting the early movers into the market in solving the overwhelming need of rapid Antigen testing on a global mass production scale. So we know there are rapid tests out there, but due to either pricing or mass production partnership capabilities they are unable to put a dent on the need out there. Avacta is looking to be groundbreaking in addressing this huge global need.

I agree with that point and that is as a previous NCYT investor.

A rapid test with a strong accuracy would switch large orders to whichever company can produce that rapid test.

Of course given the head of the company (who is a scientist first I believe) but still very articulate has been courting the media as more and more interest builds. Then you would normally have a basis for the optimism as scientists tend to air of caution. He has degree and PhD in Physics and was Chair of the Molecular Biophysics which established itself as one of the leading biophysics research groups in Europe. So that bodes well for us as he knows his stuff! Not that stuff is a scientific term lol!

Constant buying all afternoon at all prices up to the current SP high on the afternoon of most days as far as I can remember. I wonder when Lombard need to declare an increase in their position next......

Where do we think the SP will finish up for today, ahead of the weekend.

The SP is fighting to free itself from 90p at the moment. The next hour will be interesting between those who tried to cash in vs those who do not want to be out. Remember we got a late timed RNS on one of the days. So let's see what happens.

So as we pushed through the SP marks 70p and 80p yesterday and now 90p today, please keep in mind that these are nowhere near our next resistance point (without news resistance point) which our fellow poster mentioned is around £1.22 based on latest information.

Note this resistance point is without news...

Also we are having a block buyer coming in each day at the moment making constant buys to take a position here at all prices up to the current SP. So that should be telling you something.

Let's see where the afternoon 'second push' takes us.

92p buy price at the moment

The question is will the "second push" follow off the back of this as we have seen sustained afternoon buying this week that has forced the SP upwards recently.

The other interesting question is at what point, does the 'hold back' stop. From what I can see so far, it feels like the MMs are trying to keep a lid of the rush of water. Analogy wise, you only get to push the flow of water back so far but eventually the momentum will free the SP. The other good thing here is that these rises can only HELP people become aware of what Avacta is doing and working on at the moment.

We will get more press over the next coming days.

Not sure what we will end up today at but having watched the price closely over the last few weeks, there is one trend I have noticed. And that is the "second push". Many days Avacta started red and then moved blue from on SP for the day for both days with news and without news lately.

This week we have always had a significant 'second push' in the afternoon.

Not sure if that is when the 10K buyer block buyer tends to increase their position or it is other investors wanting to move their money in ahead of the next day news or announcements. As there will be people trying to dip in and out ahead of news. I would be weary on doing that. For example, looking at the "noise" I almost sold out my full shareholding yesterday (to try and get in at a lower price again) with some saying we will get a dip in the price due to placing etc and trying to revalue the share downwards. I concluded I do not have the skills for day trading and thankfully I didn't. As dipping out yesterday at 67p to buying back in at 89p would have been very costly!

So do your own research before getting swayed to give up your investment here. Think of it of standing at a train platform. The passenger trains stop at your station. The cargo trains just go past at a rapid speed. Judge it wrong and you could be viewing Avacta like a cargo train whizzing past with no chance to get on at a reasonable price haha!

The biggest volume day of 24M point meant to relate to Wednesday not yesterday btw sorry. Getting carried away lol

So just to state my position as I have been cautious to do so previously.
I was a previously a NCYT investor and every now and again while that share was rocketing, I would see people mention Avacta on that board. At first I ignored tips for Avacta but when when my other investment slowed, I thought let me take a further look.

This share has been talked about for many many weeks now and much more. Even when NCYT was having its day everyone was saying Avacta was in a much stronger position to surpass it and I have to agree. Everything looks strong:

- The Head of Avacta has been talking to the media and keeping the market updated regularly which is great
- Trading volumes have been excellent over the last few weeks. Compare the volumes with other similar priced shares
- On the biggest volume day yesterday 24M - shares were nearly 2.5/3.1 to 1 in favor of the buys
- If Avacta wins, the world wins as this is solving a huge need in a crisis
- We have a collaboration with Cytiva - go look at their credentials and website like I did

Yes we have plenty of hurdles to jump but so far we are smashing every one of them and what I like about this board is everyone is realistic about them. We need to keep up the good work:

- Get accurate testing results
- Get speedy approvals (FDA etc) to get the product to market which will be facilitated by the first point
- Most importantly by working with our partners, get the product to markets in the multi multi millions in short spaces of time (which no one else has been able to do)

The need which we are filling:
- Rapid Antigen testing
- Ease of testing in terms of saliva based testing kits
- Global reach of the product
- Active market already there, actually waiting for us rather than us having to go find the market which is huge
- Remember one of the biggest costs for any business is selling costs including advertising etc. Think of your own business in terms of finding customers. If this product is strongly accurate we can really do something special here.

We also have a lot of other exciting "existing" work going on alongside the Covid19 solution so these are all additional upside if progress on these happens too.
