More being bought than sold. Bargain hunters looking long term

Was expecting a lift in the sp late afternoon after seeing buys outstripping sells early on. Can't believe the drop. In the absence of bad news (can't think what) I can only think more money is needed to service orders. It was said "The Company is experiencing the highest level of orders for delivery in 1st half of year". If this has increased further and an order like the UN has landed then they might have been caught short. I'm taking it as a positive, time will tell

I think we will see more gains next week as there seems to be a lot of interest here now. In a strange way I hope news is delayed a little as when it comes we will increase dramatically, nice to have that increase from a higher base than where we are now.

and not out of the blue really. Pressure had been building and that simply wall street article has just converted the non-believers. Normally after a decent rise there can be a little bit of a pullback but I'm not so sure here. As mentioned in other posts we are only heading towards fair value based on what is known and there is so much more to come. Even without the news we are expecting this could motor beyond our expectations.

Been the same before. I think there are a lot of people watching this share and taking advantage of weakness early in the day to pounce. They know what is to come and looking for a good price to enter/top up. Looks good for all.

fluctuating across the globe and all quiet here. BB quiet. I'm taking it as a good sign and faith in the company. Too much to gain here to panic out. I had thought there might be a bit of (unwarranted) weakness and had set aside some money to take advantage. It's still there - getting 1%.

Checking round on a bad day for stocks generally, star is the only one I have which is not down. Undoubtedly due to the quality of the company and potential being realised. Excellent notes below from Riddler. I like to hear other views so if Shat would like to put a reasoned view over I will listen. Why is star not one of the best investments on aim? Shat?

It's pleasing to see the views on where this is going and when to take profits/where to invest to etc. It's a sign of the confidence in this company that there are no if's or but's about investing. People may take profits as we progress up, it's natural to want to feel the readies rather than look at the balance sheet. My own strategy will be not to jump off the bus on the uplifts but to stay for the whole ride as I think the views at the destination will be spectacular.

on this site, adds freshness and shows the growing interest in star. Been in since 2014 so pleased to see what I think is lift off following nervous times from an investors point of view. The products have never been in question and now they are being duly recognised. The bod seem well focussed now and ready for an exciting future, fulfilling the potential they always had. The long term future is very good and short term could be..........

is the key with any company, combined with the potential to generate more of it. A lot of AIM companies do not and never will generate profit and survive on the potential. What we have here with Star is an absolute gem. We are moving into profit and in the short term there is great potential with more orders and looking further down the line the potential just grows. I feel that some get disappointed when the sp doesn't rocket as has happened with some companies that are not even close to profit. The profits here for investors are as sure as it gets and the ones who gain the most will be the patient. I stick by my earlier prediction of 7.5p by year end and then a doubling the year after. This might not be exciting enough for some but it'll do for me.

It's been more like an Alton Towers ride than a steady progression of a company. Progress has been confirmed but the accompanying sp increase has been held back (so far) by negative reaction to parts of the rns. Some good posters on this site who are well researched, insightful and respectful - other sites I read but don't post on can just be cheerleading and nasty if you disagree. I end the week more positive about star though given the ride, dry January is at an end and I'm thinking of starting to smoke.

Excuse the ignorance but how can YA dictate the share price and if they can why would the RNS say it was in shareholders interests not to pay them off?

Left the house this morning for an appointment with a very positive RNS fresh in my mind, a 10% gain on the sp and congratulatory posts on the board. Getting back I thought I had logged onto the wrong site when I saw red. Then I thought there must have been a 2nd RNS saying the 1st one had been a mistake. Still learning about AIM (not sure I will ever understand) but Eh? !!!!! Had the market already priced in the progress made? Don't believe this as the market doesn't seem a fair one but swings around on sentiment and rumour. Perhaps the debt still held had dragged it back. Don't think so, it seems small and kept for orders and for the benefit of shareholders (us). Could it be the subdued (imo) slant on the UN bid?. Possibly, we expected a lot from CES and that didn't boost the sp when a positive announcement wasn't forthcoming The outlook (long) is extremely positive and potentially rewarding so is it just short termers taking profits on good news and and an initially rising sp? This is my best guess. Disappointing for todays mood but no biggie for the LTH's. Still holding and optimistic

I hope they don't announce any 'Don't wins' as it would just be a lead weight on the sp. Far better to have one of the good bits of news lined up to announce around the time we are expecting the UN news. The chairman seemed most pleased in his interview when talking of the European household name and so it befuddles me that it has not been announced when the product has launched, unless there are other things going on between the 2 of them. Positive!? Nice to see a little bit of a lift today. The higher the sp when the good news flows then the higher the lift.

possibly a little after CES but still very optimistic about the future and happy to hold on. What might drop the mood a bit is if we were not the one chosen by the UN and this was received before we had put some good news on the board. The improved revenues would be a great start.
