I was able to buy fewer shares @0.114 rather than 1m+ @0.134

I topped up because of the dip.
Like you said, there were only a few sells ( based on no news / investor jitters ).

Could easily rise or spike for equally no reason too.
Got to be in it to win it, as they say!

Good to finally see the asking price tick up after a few buys.
Maybe those that bought in at 0.119 will be rewarded.

Doesn't take much to move this.....

Good to see another big buy with 5 million shares bought just after the close.

Pity the spread between buy/sell price was 30%, otherwise we would have seen the so rising more than it did.

Let's hope we can continue the climb back up.

The only hope now of higher than 5p would be a counter offer from another bidder, which could then spice things up.
The only other way to make money on this share is to buy it below the offer price and make a small gain if it gets taken over for 5p a share

The resolutions certainly do look positive also:

Resolution 1, to authorise the Company for the purposes of section 701 of the Companies Act 2006 to be able to buy back its own shares; and

Resolution 2, to change the Company's Articles of Association to allow the directors to change the name of the Company, as permitted under section 77 of the Companies Act 2006.

No shocks or bad news in the results and good to see the dividend increase.

Agreed.
Either way, the so will move by quite a lot (hopefully up) either way.

This is Flybe all over again - I am surprised the shares are not 1p because investors will get NOTHING back.
Only day trading bounces are worth any returns now, sadly.

"With his 29% shareholding in the business, he is unlikely to turn his back completely. He may yet succeed in securing a majority stake in Debenhams, albeit at a much lower cost than he might have done before the decision to place the business in administration. Ashley could still prove to be the ultimate winner." Sadly, we won't get a penny or a share.

Even though I might lose all my money, I've enjoyed the rollercoaster ride over the past year or so. I knew the risks and only a miracle in the form of a real offer could have saved us from the clutches of the creditors. Wonder if next step will be the courts to formally move things into creditors hands.....

Visainn, the RNS you refer to says, "If these milestones are not satisfied, the second facility would be available to the group's subsidiaries only upon transfer of those subsidiaries into the ownership of a lender-approved entity." This does not mean the BoD MUST use the second facility. They already have £101m to burn through and if they did hand over control, then MA would take it to the courts. It's a war of words and the next RNS from DEB will offer a clearer picture.

No 100% sure but someone reported him for saying naughty things. At least he'll be happy if the share price rises nearer 3p.

The DEB bod and SD have both been playing a very carefully worded game, and I agree with KRSS and double-headed coin - who both grasped that the RNS's leave options open. While some feel it will be end game if MA doesn't bid by 8th, I think DEB will not rush into the second funding that is available quite as quick as some believe. This has been a game of words that will continue.... The brave will be rewarded.

Dusterhater: Skully said he was selling this morning. If he sold his alleged 50k, then he sold at a loss. He also predicted 1.65p would be the price at close of play today - but given his lousy track record, take it with a pinch of salt. Knowing his luck, MA will strike a deal and the share price will BOOM BOOM!

Skully12345 lying? Outrageous! Him and his misses have £50k on this stock that they hope to sell today. If he says he can set a 192% limit order at 7.5p , I believe him!!

Exactly cordenadam, without any Sports Direct bid ( or others) this stock will side-trade, slipping downwards. Hopefully Skully 12345 will be ok, he predicted 3p+ today. Fingers crossed for a positive RNS.

Indeed it is all to play for Angela, if MA puts an offer in at 5p then the sp will rise to 5p etc. Most of us hope DEB flies high.
