Taverham - I was the last person to buy Flybe shares before they announced they were selling the company 90% cheaper than I'd just bought them for.

Metro is far more safer than Debenhams, but I'm just frustrated my timing was wrong in this instance.

Welcome to my club! I sold 120,000 Debenhams at 3.07 to buy Metro, and now Deb are 3.53 and I'm sat on a big Metro loss ( for now)

Looking at it from the market makers view - the long drop has certainly shaken the tree and any stop loss prices have been triggered. Crazy price now, pity I already splashed out.

Whatever happens later next month, these shares are now 50% cheaper than they were before the update. One for the brave amongst us.

Metro financial results will be released on 27/02/19, so that could be a possibility for issuing equity. If Metro do not need to issue anymore shares, then (imo) the share price drop from £22 has been overdone. I get that the market is punishing the stock for its last RNS.

I wonder if that large sell trade @1,345.00p (108,428/£1.458m) was lurking in the background all day, holding the price down?

Tbh, I thought the announcement of Patisserie Valerie concessions clothing within a number of Deb stores would have pushed the so down. They whipped up investors, then entered into a three-way, so shafted everyone good and proper. The only one to see the "money shot" will be Mr Branson!

The fact that sells are more than buys, it seems that either: (1) there is someone who has a large buy placed (2) the MM are bored and driving price up to get more trades through. Or I'm wrong and DEB have finally hit rock bottom!

As stores naturally close and DEB cut costs in bricks and mortar, will Digital Sales help DEB survive the storm? "After a slow start to the season, group digital sales rose 6.0% in the 6 week period over peak against a strong comparative performance, delivering two year growth of over 20%. This was supported by improved mobile conversion and customer experience." [Trading Update] Would take a miracle but their mobile site is pretty good imo.

It's been one hell of a bumpy ride but it seems the only ones getting kicked off this flight are the shareholders, who have been well and truly shafted. I was in/out so many times and I was unluckily the last one to get back in (during market hours) on the day before the announcement. Didn't see 1p coming. Oh well. Best of luck to everyone else.

Took a few weeks but good to finally see decent rises in 1PM sp. The price was allowed to drop on any slight sell, even though (on some days) there had been more buys. Then suddenly any buy pushed the price up quickly. Well done to those who bought at the lows. Not sure how long the rise will continue once results are out but I still think this is a great (but boring) share!
