Sadly the majority shop online nowadays. Paying for goods with US credit cards, to US corporations. Pushing what little wealth this country has to our US 'friends'.

REITs are and will continue to get a hammering but they can't really lose. The debt is normally hedged and rents secured in long term agreements. If the property value drops, they get to buy cheaper ones. All we have to do is sit back, take the dividends and wait for the SP to recovery.

Never mentioned before. DEC are quite static in there business model so I wouldn't have thought it would be an option

The father managed to sell at 13p and can buy back at 9p. That's very lucky or?

I wish I had dumped my shares when the takeovers first got announced. Hindsight is always a great thing or if you have a son running the company!

The share price has dropped 50% in 5years. UK house price has gone up by 35% in 5 years. This company was either very overpriced 5yrs ago or very undervalued now.

Worst case, house prices crash to a sensible level. Land will be cheaper to buy. Labour and material costs will also come down in price.

Gas up by a higher %. SP should have increased but the markets are not following any logic.

All deferred covid holidays will be out of the way now. Fuel priced in. Expect some full planes next year and most paying more than previous years.

A few days ago this board was full of wild speculations about a mega offer of at least 20p per share. Now, everyone thinks each share is worth under 9p. Make your minds up :)

Looks like its being traded whilst we wait for clarity on the bids. Expect it to go up and down in the 10 to 13p range for a couple of weeks.

Regardless of our opinion, the market gives the company quite a low value. No many outside of this group expects an offer too far beyond the current SP price.

Looks like we will have some more government share price manipulation. Expect BP and Shell will have some cheap renewable assets to buy soon with their oil and gas profits. Does Liz Truss work for them?

If they pay a large dividend then buybacks are a good idea. For every share they remove from the market, it saves them paying dividend. With a dividend yield at 9 to 10%, it's quite a saving. This can be used to keep a high dividend for the remaining shares. SP in theory should increase if the dividend remains high over a sustained period.

People who fly from Southend love the airport experience. After the chaos at other airports, people will pay more to fly from airports that offer a pleasant stress free option. Surely carriers want to be based somewhere that their planes can land and takeoff on time and everyone onboard are happy. It's down to the marketing teams to get out their and promote it.

The SP is based on a fear of a house price crash but it's not going to happen. Demand is too strong. There maybe a small price drop until the energy prices come down and then it's back to business as usual.

In normal times I agree that recession is bad for recruitment. But the world hasn't got much excess labour at the moment. Most sectors are under staffed. The energy crisis will soon be over and the world will bounce back well before the recruitment sector cools down.

Don't forget when house prices fall, so does land. Cheaper land purchasers will offset any house price reduction.

They could reduce the divi and use it to buy some of the competition.

More good news. It's almost endless but the SP is reluctant to go on an upwards journey. Oh well, the dividend helps whilst we wait.
