I see they are still sticking to the 50% plus premium on the share price in May etc. So 50% premium on a share that was not promoted or marketed and suppressed by a placing also - perfect !

Its a load of confetti mostly not making much sense - but then again thats how expensive corporate lawyers justify themseves..

They bought C&W only for the fibre infrastructure. And in my professional opinion (given that I was once the onsite liaison for my company to C&W) that the C&W UK infrastructure wasnt very good really ! But hey when an overpaid director gets an idea its hard to turn it around. Also IMO I dont think VOD got a fraction of the value from this acquisition, I would almost say they bought C&W rather like pinning the tail on the Donkey at a kids party !

I was as telecom professional prior to retirement, and I remember the time when VOD was one of the most prestigious organisations to work for but slowly over the late 90's early noughties the life was sucked out of the company by greedy uncaring boardmembers. In fact a similar story to C&W which doesnt really exist any more. VOD could still be great but the corporate debt figure needs to be addressed IMO..

There is also more trading volume than we ever saw a few months ago - the share price is saying this is a slam dunk by the looks of it.

johnp - I hope what you are saying is that we have lost the ability to stop Ganfeng so voting no would only harm us more. I hope you are not saying you want a quick easy flip, as I would remind you that ZNWD or no ZNWD this is still a rubbish deal...

Very apt for this share, I did quite a bit of topping up to bring my average up but it is now looking risky...

I agree this is looking like a good range-trade share.
