You either sell and believe that nothing will materialise with this company or you just suck it up and wait for the shorters to get twitchy… and there is plenty in the horizon for some serious palpitations to start creeping up. I’m not saying it won’t be bumpy.

Let's just recap on the last 18 months...
April 2020: Reagents are in short supply. I initially bought this share at 57p because of this reason. I saw the cancer element and felt that it wan't a one tricky covid pony.
May: The price approaches £1 and I buy more, bit of fomo really, if I'm honest. I trade a bit in the 140s (thank you bounce back loan) and make a fair bit... but fomo a bit more all the way up to £2...
June: Crash. Placing. Damn. Ouch. BUT I bought more. Why? Klaus and cytiva. The science was fascinating and amazing. I noted that they all said it normally takes 18m to develop a product like this - minimum.
July: we get messed around by CONDOR and lack of samples
September: great presentation all looks good.
October: House purchase & hamburger gate but another lockdown looming
November: Vaccine Gate. This was harsh, and no one predicted the impact that would have. the Pfizer CEO was a slimeball trying to get in first and sold a chunk of his shares... but none of that was anything to do with avacta.
January 2021: Boris sends kids back to school for 1 day... 1 day and then bam lockdown with promises of soverign LFTs. I bought more because of THIS. Bloody BOJO. This was a heavy period of accumulution for me.
Feb: Tests stuck in customs... bloody brexit. BUT the CV was excellent, small but lets face it - it was excellent and larger numbers weren't going to sway the figures signifcantly.
Mar-May waiting ... this was the most frustrating period. I have to say the ONE bit I completely blame Avacta for was the blind reliance on the third party for the CE marking. I was really angry. And for that damn Sticky to have 'broke' the story - that was salt in the wounds.
So here we are August, we know tests have been sold and we are in the process of scaling up. We are in another period of waiting... and the vultures are circling fast. I don't know what is going to happen - I really don't. But I know that I didn't just buy these shares because of AS. Yes he was eloquent and really explains the science so well... but if it wasn't for all the other stuff, then I don't think I would have KNOWN about Avacta or researched quite so much or invested up to my eyeballs. It is entirely my own research and a variety of factors that has put me in this position. Yes this SP feels really bad. Yes I wished I'd derisked more and wasn't so greedy at £2.50.

Yes I feel AS could have communicated more, but what would he have said? He couldn't say the government were useless... if you didn't research more than this BB then maybe that is more the prob

I guess the question is how far the shorters are willing to 'go' to push this down. Assuming that the new Jupiter shorts are still going on - I guess it could well go under £1 to close out stop losses. I would imagine though that the shorters would get a tad jittery at the 90-100p range though. What we need is some WSB action! This is not investment advice and DYOR.

The buy and sell flag is based on the range between bid and offer on LSE - it is calculated with an algorithm that can lag - so the data is a bit ‘out’ sometimes and everyone jumps on it as MM games but really it needs to be taken with a pinch of salt. I don’t think MM’s take the proverbial as much as we like to think but the stock is fairly illiquid (not as much as others but still) so they do tend to drop the bid pretty quickly… but to be fair when it is on the move up it also goes up pretty fast too.

No we don't have to agree Wyndrum, but that wasn't my point. It would have been fine to discuss costs and potential sales/ or lack of... but simply saying the direction of the share price could indicate a placing is emotive without researching the actual company position. Indeed we have the cash balance as at the end of Dec 2020 and a years worth of losses to work with. A few weeks ago, we knew the LFT was due to be dispatched in August, and no we don't know orders or much else, but even with NO orders, a placing would have been extremely unlikely this year as over 40m was unlikely to have been burned in 7 months, so that is why I have called you out on it.

I've reported NDN, as the only thing he can say about me ramping is one post where I had done a dummy buy ... he clutches at straws to try to discredit everyone who isn't negative. He has a vendetta against me because I repeatedly called out his condescending and arrogant tone. I even repeatedly said that his 'arguments' could me more constructive if he weren't so rude with his 'betas' name-calling. At one point I even said that didn't even necessarily disagree with some of things he said, but 100% disagree with the way he said it. Now he just resorts to name calling - probably because he just enjoys provoking and has nothing better to do but as others call out could just be creating negativity for his own 'purposes'. Who knows. The thing with an anonymous BB - you literally can't believe anything... but the links to research etc is beneficial. People would really do best to DYOR...

I have had a huge amount invested here, and previously posted it was 50% of my portfolio when we were around £2.50. For the record, I still have well over 120k shares and bought more this past week. Whether it was a good move or not, I do not know and my posting that does not imply I encourage others to do so. I am hopeful but cautious on this share, but I don't expect anyone to believe me or follow suit. I think the government are not to be trusted in any way, and I think that has hurt Avacta's prospects short term. It is probably recoverable and it may be that AS has played his cards with the gov well by not engaging in legal challenges., but we just don't know. Myles being positive is great if you want base your own investments on someone you don't know... I really enjoyed the science part of the last 18 months of research on Avacta and that is the main reason I've stayed invested as I think the potential is huge. Whether AS is the right person to push it forward, I don't really know - but I do think the AVA6000 trials won't need to involve national politics, so that is a plus.

This BB is toxic. I've repeatedly said people need to step back and take a walk... I'm not perfect as I shouldn't have spent time on this post... but honestly it would be more believable if everyone would admit when they might have been 'wrong'. Nobody likes constant negativity or an arrogant know-it-all.

I know what you mean about feeling the need to state these views... it just seems like a battle of the rampers and derampers on here and perspective is needed. It is a risk, but research and decide for yourself right? Have discussions on this BB on the market, even TA - I don't care if it is positive or negative, but constantly being negative without balance is a red flag for me as to whether the poster has alterior motives. I can see no reason for someone to ALWAYS be negative AND be invested... unless invested in a short. I think that is far more manipulative and despicable than an obvious ramp.

Myles' research is great, I have no doubts there. His motives for tweeting it and sharing it need to be considered, but it doesn't make his research bad. His avg will be lower in all likelihood, so you don't just hit buy on something he tweets... watch it and wait for a decent entry. FOMO is not a good idea - been there and done that!

gmcc - great start to assessing the financials. I think the £1-1.50 profit per test is unreasonable but it is difficult to determine without understanding the sales price... it could be anywhere from £2.5 to £7. Maybe a £4 average? Who knows at this stage.

Re twitter - absolutely. This group are particularly venomous. I mean who goes on twitter and ADMITS to not doing research and just blindly following a tweet as investment advice? If Myles' avg is 20p... then his approach to risk on AVCT should and would be hugely different to mine. Having said that - Avacter are closer to being profitable and closer to huge potential with AVA6000 than we were last summer, so in some respects the risk is lower than it was last summer.

Sticky, Egg, and NDN all have similar tone... I'm sure many are underwater here, but I would put significant money that those 3 couldn't give a proverbial about them. Honest advice would be to never invest more than you are willing to lose and to not bet the kid's dinner money as someone else pointed out... but placing blame on other investors is either manipulation or demonstrating they shouldn't be investing at all - and let's face it, investing isn't cut out for most people. Putting your pension into a tracker fund isn't a bad thing either... I keep thinking I might have more time to chill!

And I think that was Myles’ point…. Posters can say what they want about Myles - plenty on Twitter blaming him for ramping… but you would sell up wouldn’t you if you really thought you had been ‘had’.

No one forced me to buy what I did… I did my own research and knew the risks… particularly last spring/summer when the LFT was just a ‘concept’ with Cytiva and oh how we all raved and swore at Klaus at the same time.

We are all disappointed that Avacta aren’t where we thought they would be but it shouldn’t detract from how far they have come - potentially on the brink of being profitable for starters and lots in the pipeline.

Step back and think about why you actually invested… Mr Blue on Twitter is very bitter and feels done over by Myles. Clearly he did not do his own research. I knew this was a risk and although I didn’t think we be back down here around the 1.20 - I’m pretty sure the only one with the password to the account where the buy and sell buttons are…

and to the ******* who post negatively about Avacta and also refer to them as ‘we’ in the same post - you really are the lowest of the low… get yourself a company and develop cutting edge diagnostics and therapeutics or at a minimum have a bloody share holding before using ‘we’ - total **** behaviour.

Sorry that ended up being a rant… I don’t mind negative constructive comments/discussion and I can filter the ramping easily enough… I just think the venomous tweets from 4-5 on Twitter are just pathetic…

Wyndrum, I have been pretty supportive of you up until you suggested a placing a few weeks ago. I think anyone could look at the accounts and see that was VERY unlikely this year or even early next. I think it cannot be construed as anything but fear mongering at THIS stage. By all means, if you have some figures you have worked out that would indicate additional funds being required this year, present them, otherwise you will deserve the grief given. Note: falling share price is NOT always indicative of a placing, though it is indicative of posters creating placing fears amongst PIs. DYOR people.

There was a huge amount in the bank as of December. 40m odd . At 20m pa running costs that is 2 years. Even with cost of manufacturing up front there is plenty of cash flow for at least a year. What we don’t know how LFT sales are likely to go. Regardless, there will be NO placing until H2 2022 at the earliest… with LFT sales this is likely to be much later… instead of throwing ‘placing’ into your posts why don’t you actually look at the numbers and at least support WHY you think they need money right now?

I found this fab place to by the yachts for NDN… with his one share of Avacta at 60p - he could buy one of these babies when we hit £5.60! He might have to wait a bit longer for the flight to Monte Carlo… but I’m sure we can chip in for an EasyJet flight.

I don’t think it is your phone… LSE goes back in time fairly frequently. Not worked out why exactly. I actually think it is sometimes board by board so maybe they have some scripts that run trying to remove some stuff or something…

It does at times feel like mutiny aboard this PI AVCT investment ship! Many of us have been down here before… having been spiked at £2 in May 2020. I averaged down here in the £1-1.20 range in Nov 2020 - whether that is a good idea to do is up to you - DYOR and assess your own position with regards to Risk. This SP does suck right now and my portfolio is pretty risky right now but had a stroke of luck back in March 2020 and inadvertently managed to be ‘out’ of the market during the massive dump so I feel like I have a cushion… but agree don’t play with the kids dinner money!

Agree to an extent IFA... but with the current government, if enough pressure is exerted then they may well pull a rabbit out of a hat... I wonder if Bethell has friends at facebook. Innova clearly have friends at google.

What comes out of Bethell's mouth should not be taken at face value. The government have had a very long time to actually get behind UK diagnostics, what would actually make them start now? Some bad press? Threats of legal action? We all would hope that would do the trick... butare they now biting? Hard to say.l

I think AS has been avoiding conflict with the government to try to alleviate potential discord... it may wind up being the only way the gov can save face. ABDX and Mologic potentially have burnt bridges... AS may prove to have navigated that well - only time will tell.

The DHSC has also stated that, if Abingdon commences legal proceedings to recover the outstanding sums, it will apply to have those proceedings stayed until after the determination of the JR. The DHSC seeks to avoid its contractual obligations despite having accepted delivery of the products the Company have supplied, and which it is using, and for components purchased on behalf of the DHSC at its request. Abingdon therefore continues to pursue the DHSC for payment.

Mr A - 'IF'

If it wasn't an 'IF' we would be at £10 now.... Risk Reward. Question is whether £1.23 is appropriate price for the current risk/reward.... That seems to be the real question we should be talking about. What are the risks here? How likely is the LFT is to produce x amout of income... how likely AVA6000 will not fail or succeed to any degree, or what degree. Everyday we have rampers and whiners and just disrupters on here and endless bickering. It will hopefully get better when there is some more information about the trial or LFT. I guess we are just bored.
