I know there are several other vaccines in trial that target the S protein, but what are peoples opinions on how well Scancell 's approach does it compared to others?
Also, because SCOV is DNA-based, I think I am right that it is massively cheaper, longer lasting and cheaper to transport (doesn't need to be stored at sub zero temperatures). How do the other vaccines in trial compare on the cost/longevity/transportation metric?

Oh, and launch of the second stage of covidity in the UK, should follow shortly after the toxicity update.

Also, I believe the SUPP board are not averse to share buy backs if the discount to NAV gets too wide - was in the last report I think. That will help!

Fair enough, but your bear points are opinion.

My opinion - 6 months time, ONP may be half or double - who knows? It is a rapidly growing biotech so not hugely correlated with the wider market. Could be a good hedge against dividend payers if the market has a wobble?
The other companies in SUPPs portfolio are also early stage, so again not a terrible place to be in the event of a wider market re-rating.

Absolutely, buy SUPP to get discounted ONT shares.
At current price, over half of SUPP's market cap is covered by ONT! Leaving them at a very heavy discount to NAV - 50% or more ?

No one turned up to the first meeting of my Sarcasm Club – despite loads of people saying how much they were looking forward to it...

If they sell some as part of the float and sell more in the aftermath (hopefully at a better price) that is still a good outcome and should give a decent uplift in NAV.
I'm hoping for a rise more like 25% off the back of the Oxford Nanopore flotation.
But longer term I don't think Neil Woodford was that bad a stock picker, and a lot of companies in the portfolio look like they could do well. Don't see this as a bad place to park some funds for a couple of years, especially with the NAV discount.

LD now has even more to gain if/when the sp rises substantially. The number of options she now has far exceeds the number of shares she sold, so her alignment with investors is even stronger.
She is the hardest working CEO I have come across and thoroughly deserves any financial gain.

AB124, there are some very smart investors on this board who know a lot about how business works, both in biotech and generally. Their input is very valuable - limiting input to as anyone who has specific experience in developing a vaccine is just that, limiting input, as it is a very small subset of the population.
Anyone is welcome to post their thoughts based on their experience as far as I'm concerned.
And BTW, those of us who are experienced in investing and business have got your game!

CEPI haven't funded Scancell... yet
Because they don't need funding at the moment, pure and simple. Doesn't mean they won't fund phase 3, but Scancell might get a better offer than CEPI!
And as for slow, what nonsense. Yes in the past, but Scancell ate flying over the hurdles now. First patient dosed next, then safety and initial efficacy in terms of antibodies. Pace is accelerating and Scancell seem to be doing everything right at the moment.
