Love it when people post saying others are being unrealistic, then post there own equally made up 'realistic' predictions.
None of us know for sure (except perhaps Lindy) what the end game will be, but it's gonna be a lot of fun being a part of it.

AB124: Maybe, if a deal were structured so that they still got a return on the success of the pipeline. Any such deal would dilute their potential returns, but who knows?
I don't think Redmile are going to sell out at the first opportunity that comes their way for a relatively small profit.
They did the due diligence and are aware what the valuation could be once data proves up the science.

Have to disagree - Redmile invested on the massive potential, not for a quick profit, their plan will be to wait for data and maturation of the Scancell pipeline, IMO.

Scancell are doing the trials going to get the data. They are doing exactly what they should be doing IMO.
They are, to some extent, at the mercy of the trials processes and regulations, we just have to be patient :)
Focus is all well and good, but running 3 trials in series would be a disaster as trials take so long - far better to run 3 in parallel surely? They shouldn't impact on one another.

I am sure Redmile and the other large investors have given the same feedback as many here have, but right now, they are actually doing it!

I appreciate that Ruck, but it can be quite subjective if it is price sensitive or not - just look at some of the RNS's that come out that basically say nothing and are just appeasing investors.
Plenty of AIM companies hold on to good or bad news longer than they should to make more strategic announcements.

I still think the silence is for a reason - there must be so much happening that could be reported. Why isn't it being?
Either they are just too busy to do an RNS or 'stuff' needs to be finalised before any announcements can be made.
We'll know soon enough I guess.

I am so fed up with people holding up New Zealand as a comparison. It is NOT comparable to UK or any other European country - it is an island with limited trade and tourism and a small population. It was relatively easy for them to close or control borders, whereas it is virtually impossible for trade-hub countries like UK, France, Germany etc..

That's how I understand it Ruck, certain protein and glycans (sugar) signatures can be constant. The drugs target these signatures.

But at least it gives us something to talk about :)

I am sure that conversations like this are taking place. This is a very exciting time, and such transformational events are now in sight.
I don't think we can judge whether we should have been informed by RNS about what's going on until we know what it is. It may be out of Scancells hands, if a potential partner has asked them to keep it under wraps until terms are agreed (and until trial results).
If so, forming the company now rather than later was perhaps too keen a move - it doesn't take any time to set up a company, so this could have easily been fully prepared but not actioned till later.

Fair enough crumbs, but assuming the new company is for Avidimab, there could be a joint venture, with Scancell retaining a stake, and BioNtech (or another pharma) providing cash for their stake to drive it all forward.

I still think many things are coming together behind the scenes at Scancell. What odds for:

- CEPI funding for covidity stage 2 and 3
- Avidimab hived off into the new company and sold to BioNtech for £1 billion +
- Deal on MODI1 - upfront payment, milestone cash and royalties. Possibility of bidding war if trial results are as good as we expect.
- SCIB1 taken by Merck for £????????

Even if all the above happened, Scancell could STILL be a multi-billion pound company from the platform(s) pipeline - SCIB2, MODI2, etc ..

And Scancell is one tenth of the market cap!

And, on the face of it, less to offer then Scancell.

Another possibility - the delivery mechanism(s) developed for covidity could be a potential spin off?
