So, my read is the MM's have no line of stock?

But in this case, I think there is a shortage of stock, and MM's are unwilling to take the risk of selling without certainty of supply. Bu they are prepare to take the risk of buying as they know they can easily move them on.

You could sell a million shares on auto, possibly more (only checked up to a million). Never seen that before.

The SP reaction is very disappointing IMO. I am very surprised that it has not shot up to the mid 20s or 30s on this news.
There is so much that can go wrong, and this is news that nothing has gone wrong, and all is on track.
The trial locations are sorted - circumnavigating the issue of there being few unvaccinated people left in the UK, and also opening up the possibility of the vaccine as a 'variant booster' on top of existing vaccination programmes.
The delivery mechanism seems to be sorted (and I hope we get an update on this shortly).

The investment case has been substantially de-risked, but the market hasn't really cottoned on today. I expect a delayed reaction during the rest of the week and into next week, as we have seen previously and once the implications are spelled out to investors by their advisers and the financial press.

Time to check down the back of the sofa for a final top up methinks.

Interesting debate - my opinion is fairly neutral as I don't currently hold, but for what it's worth, It's Nayega or bust .
If there is any sniff of Nayega coming good I will be back in in less time than than your average Togo government lasts :)

If anyone is interested (and let's face it, if you hold Keras you have a certain risk profile!), my funds from Keras ended up mainly in Scancell (SCLP) - lots of blue sky potential there, and hopefully shorter term than Keras!

- Scancell has massively desirable tech.
- Scancell, out of the blue, appoint a broker who specialise in M&A in healthcare.

It has certainly been a long time without news during a period when there must have been so much progress.
There must be a reason. Talks. Confidentiality. IMO.

Holding strong and adding.

1. No progress - unlikely as Scancell have more staff and resources than ever, and they have always progressed the science.

2. Too busy to notify - again unlikely as listed companies are required to update the market on price sensitive news, and it would be a poor show from the directors.

3. No 'notifiable' news - i.e. still ironing out the creases and we will have news soon. We know Scancells definition of 'notifiable' is a high bar compared to other biotechs!

4. Discussions on funding / takeover / deals are ongoing and it is not possible to provide an update until these have progressed as it would jeopardize the discussions. And/or confidentiality agreements have been put in place.

For me (3) and (4) are joint favorites

I don't think applying for funding would/should be notified - companies apply for all sorts of grants all the time, but generally only notify if they are awarded.

Not sure how long they have to notify, but we may get an RNS later. The last time, the RNS was at about 11am I think.

A write up in the Independent is really positive and will introduce a lot of people to Scancell. Would hope for an impact on the sp this week.
There is no new information hence no need for RNS, but to me this reaffirms that all is on track. Plus directors buying 400k shares!
All is good, just a bit more patience required. And in the meantime there's the other trials and Avidimab that I'm sure are all ready for news at any minute.

Badly phrased,

"I don't think that would be any cause for concern"

Technically, if the market hasn't been notified any differently, then everything is still on track and news could come soon on trial progress. I don't think the Diggles buy would stop that.
But if news were to come of e.g. CEPI funding, or avidimab deals next week, eyebrows might be raised. Whether or not Diggles was aware.

Anyways, a substantial director purchase can only be good news, despite RR's desperate attempt to spin it otherwise. Not sure if RR is joking / sarcastic, that's the problem with text!

chester18, I was reading up on the directors 'moral code' to not buy/sell shares at inappropriate times, and the only hard and fast rule seems to be to not buy/sell in 'closed periods' - i.e. the period when results are pretty much finalised but not yet announced to market. Beyond that there's the legal rules around insider trading to consider.
Diggles isn't actively involved day-to-day so may not have the same level of information as other directors. Makes sense, as it's not his day job.

Oh dear, is lack of director buys' the best they can come up with?
I would of thought it highly unlikely the board would be able to buy shares at the moment, with so much going on and unannounced it would be insider trading.
