Agreed - everyone does their research and comes to their own investment decisions.
Problem is some people constantly change their conclusions, in line with their trading position.
This needs pointing out - no problem with traders, I just have a problem with dishonesty

hasiba, only true for viruses that kill a large percentage of the host population, because if a virus kills it's host population it has a decreasing pool of people to transmit to and will very quickly burn itself out. Thus, Darwinian competitive advantage for viruses that don't kill their hosts.
However, coronavirus only kills a small percentage, so this does not apply. It's got far more in common with flu - serious illness that doesn't kill too many of the infected. We regularly get serious flu strains that are more damaging than previous strains.
Why do you think the experts are so concerned?

Please correct me it wrong, but I thought the reports back from the AGM were that all trial participants have had first doses and second doses had been started?

Maybe the advert is because the trial is being extended or rolling immediately into a phase 3, or maybe an admin oversight?

SP going up

In previous years it has been profitable to sell pre-AGM and buy back post-AGM.
Can't blame anyone for attempting the same this year, but it looks unlikely to succeed or, at least, to make enough to make the risk worthwhile.

Now 48.11p per share.
Share price (mid) is approx 33.1p.

I'm not sure expectation management is required at all.
Trials are started, we will have some results within the next 6 months, maybe sooner.
Once the level of efficacy becomes apparent (assuming it is high), the market will wake up to the possibilities. We could see multiple £'s sooner rather than later.
The big players are conservative by nature and they won't see it or acknowledge it until it is waved right in their faces, and by the time they do see it, it will be too late to engineer a mechanism for taking the technology on the cheap.

It's been a long decade or more of Scancell seemingly plodding along, quietly reaching milestones that have been ignored by all those around them, but it looks like this period is coming to an end, and it will be explosive. Chaos theory anyone?

The tech Scancell have developed is brand new, unparalleled and protected all around the world.
If it works, Scancell WILL BE worth multiple billions. The traditional valuation models simply don't apply to a technology that creates it's own market, and I am more than happy to stand by £30 - £60 a share as a target .

Some of us have researched heavily and have a grasp of how it works and a knowledge of the results so far in the lab, in humans (SCIB1) and in humanised mice. Everyone will come to their own conclusion on the chance of the tech working and the extent to which it will work. I have kept on building my holding, participated heavily in the open offers and sleep easy at night.

Not even thinking about selling at 50p or £1. Scancell is worth so much more.

Well BionTech market cap is approx £50 billion.
If Scancell got to that, we would be over £60 a share.
Bound to be fund raising on the way, so let's say 50% dilution, so £30 a share?

And yet the Net Asset Value continues to rise, so they can't be doing that bad a job.

Over 46p now compared to an SP of 34p.

Situations like this don't last forever - buybacks, dividends (e.g. the ONP shares could be distributed to shareholders), market realisation, pro-active shareholders forcing a liquidation. All of these are options.

Something has to give, just a matter of waiting...

Expecting a big jump from the 40p per share last time. Could be a good time to buy this morning?
Not sure how much longer such a big discount will last, especially as the board have mentioned using buybacks as a tool to lower the discount, and they now have cash (from 10% sale of ONT in flotation) to do this.

I suspect people are expecting a 'losses increase' headline for Scancell and hoping that impacts the share price so they can buy back cheaper.
We all know losses will have increased - that is very much the plan, but the markets are what they are.
Really hope there is good news, or at least a positive directors statement to go with the results.
But if not, I also suspect there are plenty waiting in the wings to buy in sub-20p should we get there.

I'm sure If you all met in the pub you'd get on, but there is something about social media which brings out the worst in people.

They clearly have confidence in the current trials.
