Dividend tax is 32.5% after £50,570 of gains, IIRC, but you can get round this by selling between ex-dividend dates, I believe, and pay 20% CGT then buy back in when ex-div ends. Not financial advice.

Does anyone think there may be the possibility of a full asset sale (as per Ian's recent post) plus a royalty scheme where the new owner pay us an annual dividend based on the future Kola mine output? That would explain having a shell company in 'Eurasia' for the dividends.

Plus, I believe ACF are working on an updated value report since they are no longer restricted by the FSP.

I will be surprised if it is less than twice the value of the old one (54-60p).

The ACF report was very conservative, as has been mentioned previously, and deducted 30% for the flanks. The WACC for MT is ultra conservative too.

The price of PGM's has risen since. Does not include WK resource update (+43%) or the pending flanks application for the same. Then there is the JV potential value.

Personally, I would double the original ACF figure and use that as a starting point.

Sweet Jesus. Fantastic news! Not only are we getting a dividend but the BOD have cleverly set us up for counter-bids. IMO, this Japanese consortium (as reflected in the NED appointment) will buy, say, 90% of us and have involvement in the Kola project (perhaps, cover our mining construction et al) for a percentage. We are well on our way to being one of the big boys in the medium-term (NN, AA, Glencore....).

Personally, if 'substantial' is 90% I expect us to get a special dividend of at least £1 (and this is being conservative).

Hopefully, a 0700 RNS will give us more fat to chew upon.

Wednesday is usually an alcohol-free day but, sod that, I am having a rum or two tonight!

Pompal - We were updated two weeks ago, on 28th April:

"Eurasia will update on Monchetundra, West Kytlim and other Eurasia matters as soon as practicable. The Company will update on progress of the FSP when appropriate."

I would give the BOD another two weeks before banging any drums. Besides they know what they are doing and that is why we trust them (and are shareholders - just like themselves).

All will come good. Just be patient for a little while longer :)

No worries, PP. I've been in since last year with a tad under 300k myself.

I believe we will get the news we are all waiting for before the end of June. AGM would be end of this month, IMO.

PP - Doesn't mean the offers were 'unacceptable' either. The vote could be strategic, IMO, and what for is anyone's idea when it comes to 'strengthening our negotiating position'. Perhaps it is one of the things that is needed to make these offer(s) binding.
