Stock market is the same as it's always been. The manipulations can only ever have short term effects on SP's. You have to resist the temptation of those bright burning stars promising you a no-brainer ten bagger (forum code for dog that will fail) and build long term positions in companies that keep delivering the goods, large or small. Ignore the noise and be happy with 10% per annum gains. If you do better, great, but a nicely balanced portfolio will of made 8% - 10% per annum last 15 years. There is no need to lose all your capital. You have to be gambling to do that.

Just sit in great companies that keep impressing you and let them do their job. Move your capital out of those that constantly disappoint.

Narcus, not sure I concealed it deliberately, but correct I did not mention the €1bn profit gain in H121, but this would of helped offset losses from the roaming collapse which are not so severe in H122, so all in all, I would say profits are still down on real earnings YOY which is not very exciting, and a bit dissapointing considering the travel recovery this year.

Profits are down YOY though. Not sure where the strong growth is. EPS down 20% YOY. Net debt up almost €4bn YOY. More than the div paid out. The story remains, it borrows to pay the div.

I would say GAW is something to dollar cost average into a total holding you are comfortable with. It's short term trajectory is hard to decipher as markets wonder if it's all over for hobbies because we can go to the cinema again. You have to just leave management and the talent to do their thing and surprise us all with the future profits.
Buy in chunks over the next few months then come back in 5 years and see how you did.
