Stay invested Robleo. Markets have been collapsing everywhere so even your funds will struggle, but at some point it bottoms, usually when everyone has completely given up. The snap back can be rapid. USA up big time today. Slight relief over Russia leads to money coming back in which puts pressure on the shorts who buy stock to close, and up and up.
Maybe it comes down again tomorrow, but long term, it's all going up.
Maybe even VOD.

It’s a reminder the current SP is a reflection of macro concerns. Meanwhile GAW the company keeps moving forward.

Isn’t that the plan of western government for the last 10 years, but just seem to end up with more debt?
It may work for VOD if they can raise prices faster than costs. That will depend on the competition.

I was into Lamprell over 10 years ago. It was on the redress then and still seems to be. I seem to remember renewables being the problem as they lost a ton on a turbine install vessel. They seem to lurch from one issue to another. Not sure if it is bad luck or judgement.
There was a flurry of excitement about 5 years ago. Something to do with blockchain. Not sure what happened to that project.
If you do enter, do so with caution with a planned exit should things become downward again.

It's interesting to see some shareholder action, but my own buy price is still below £1. If they come up with a plan that convinces me of consistent earnings growth I may change that.

One of Vodafone's biggest shareholders Abrdn PLC (ABDN) has hailed an activist campaign aimed at improving the telecoms company's performance as "very sensible", as another investor said the move was "long overdue".

Been tracking my portfolio since 2006. Annualised returns are around 9% over that period. I say 'around' as I only work it out once a year on March 1st and 2021 was pretty wild so not sure what it's done to the calc.
Positioned myself over the last 18 months into some stocks I feel should blitz that over the next decade. VOD doesn't make the grade for me at this price.

Well I once bought some at £2.20 expecting 10% return per annum. It needs to hit £3.22 to stay on track.

They also seem to have little effect. Pearson are down since they got envolved and Aviva are flat.

I can only assume their data does not update live, and US data is out of step with UK so you see a difference. Perhaps don't rely on them.

ADR's received $1.05 past 12 months, divided by current SP of ADR's is 5.9%. If div stays the same, then buying an ADR right now will yield 5.9%.

Both the ADR's in USA and the VOD shares here yielded 5.8% on the past years dividends at VOD current SP.

An interesting turn. Compound on it with the mystery buyer.

Going up when everything was tanking and going down when it's rallying just suggests big money are moving in and out of it in a contrarian way. It's not VOD specific. Verizon also down in the US on a big up day over there.
That may all change at 2:30 when Powell speaks.

Probably take till March for the market to work out all it's fear and panic.
Those yanks are having the worst start to a year since 2009, but back then the bottom turned out to be a few weeks later in March 2009, and then began the longest bull run in history.
We haven't found the bottom to this cycle yet, but it will come eventually. Look away if you can.

A distraction from the still main issue. More than one carrier offers 5g and VOD are stuck price matching the lowest. Zero pricing power in an inflationary environment is not desirable.

Puzzled quite why the sp is going opposite to market. Perhaps there is something in the mystery buyer theory.

Started adding again at these prices, in the long term account. £33 was a bit toppy.
