It will be the oddest of weeks. US closed today, lse closed Thursday Friday, div on Wednesday. This weeks winner will need a bonus prize.

Don't forget it's a Wednesday close not a Friday close Dan. Not enough time to get down to my 115p traditional guess. That's for the week after.
There are however some signs of a market bottom/turn for USA that may spill over to UK. We'll see next week if it holds. I'm beginning to think it will.

Vodafone still can't cover it's div. TSLA have so much cash coming in they built 2 mega factories and still increased the cash balance to $20bn and have negative net debt. I know which I want to be in from here.

Market mood is trying to turn positive or at least bottom out, but it's too fragile. One little excuse, and down it all goes again. Temporarily. 2025 isn't that far off.

It’s the great unknown. Personally not selling, but looking at bringing new cash in to buy up at lower prices. Whether this period goes on for 2 weeks or 2 years, nobody knows.

The whole concern is that VOD can't actually afford the decent dividend. It has borrowed to pay it since day 1, hence the enormous accumulated losses. Divs are posted to the accumulated losses account in changes in equity.

I found with VOD to only look at the balance sheet. Equity down despite an apparent accounting profit. Accumulated losses up due essentially to divi coming from equity (debt). Just reasons why the market will not be that impressed.

The boss of Etisalat Hatem Dowidar is a former VOD exec. I expect having left he has some ideas about how to sort it out and would like to exert control.

Nick could find himself in a push pull with that other major holder and activist investor.

97m adr’s we’re traded in April, equivalent to 970m shares, so not that vast. I doubt they would of been buying the ADR’s though. Buy the stock direct and have full ownership of them.
They will of also benefitted from the pound weakening over the buying period.
Pound may of bottomed now though. UK came second in Eurovision! Not sure when we so emphatically came out of the global sin bin, but we are.

I have put absolutely no effort in to crunching numbers, so can tell you that next Friday close is 115p.

Sounds expensive and desperate. Just make what you have more efficient, lower those costs and steal market share. Let you weakened competition flounder.
