Left this at about 402p probably shouldn't have done, as it is a good share but needed money for elsewhere..

is getting again near the base of a trend which last time took it from under 80p to 100p.Though that isn't too much compared to what is still its potential SP growth...

says on iii that MML was ex-dividend on 11th Oct with payout being on 8th Nov, this week..

got in here today,had this marked down for a while.Quite low costs per oz. gold should insulate this from any future falls in gold prices.Ph. now regarded as a place of fairly low country risk...

I had decided to put money elsewhere into another share doing quite well.Also did not understand what was going on here,been burned a few times diving into unknown situations.You experienced folks here are better equipped to know what to do..GL.

yes as a previous holder several times,this is a good share.But watch when it rises,it has always had a habit of steep falls,usually roughly where it is now,or just above.I'd always buy it at about 250p,didn't as was short of cash.

Rival Ideal Shopping has a p/e in the lower 20's.So to take the ASC p/e of 64 down there,you'd need the price to go to about 430p or the earnings to triple.I cannot see a fall of that amount to where it was over a year ago with the company size expansion there has been since then.The latter increase in earnings should happen eventually,but perhaps a fall to say 1000p would do for a bit ? In a few years expect a much lower p/e but a much higher SP too.

the clothing shop said they expect costs to rise soon with cotton reaching record prices...

don't forget how P/G can use his friend Kate Moss as a money-making model lol.

that was justa guess.P/G from wikipedia was the 9th richest person in UK with about £4.43bn. compared to present value of ASC of about £1bn.So yes he could afford ASC..did you know even smaller companies have taken over bigger companies in hostile bids in the past,though no idea how they do it lol..

might find one of the following-listed in decreasing likelyhood-a 1 for 2 or whatever up-valuation,a this is no longer a penny share;a hiving off of particularly the US operation,allowing US listing separately,with shareholders being given new US shares would allow smaller units less top-heavy;a takeover of ASOS,some must be watching this progress,might even go private with the likes of Philip Green moving in...or again an American company could buy the US parts..yes I know some of the latter choices here might never happen,but you can't totally rule it out,as even shooting stars have to land somewhere...

for a "normally-risked company" in this sector should be below 30. Examples: 27 Ideal Shopping; 13 Marks & Spencers,lower for a traditional shop-based company.In the dot.com period all p/e's were very high of those companies-Baltimore,Marconi now dead,even Vodafone still surviving had p/e's over 70, but of course the latter took theirs down.Time to catch up earnings and allow the price to stop rocketing ahead to unrealistic values ?

I think with me like many I hadn't faced before a real crisis,I got into investing just near the end of the dot.coms in 2001 but wasn't exposed much then,while my risky technique didn't lead to disaster as in 2002-7 most things went well.Then I was in banks at the wrong time.Everyone kept topping up little believing RBS would go from 750p to 10p.I have still a good bit of damage so if the same happens again I won't be here again.I'll be finished.You see.

instead of investing I should take bets on ASC,looks good chance of getting another 600p in over 8 months lol
