this share has lost 1/6th (17%) in 1 month.Not however very exciting compared to the progress over the last 2 years.This is one of these rare things.A self-sustaining giant in the making.P/E values not important.Another company this decade had a very high p/e,VOD.It was a sign of how big a value people placed on it rather than of weakness.Yes the price is quite high but so are the earnings.£5 in 2 years ? You can't rule it out.This recent drop has in any case made it better priced for now.Compare to Next which it should overtake.No High Street shops wasting capital.Shoppers not guzzling petrol getting there.Cheap but fashionable fashion.I'd pay more attention to your posts tj,but use of CAPITALS suggests your arguments lack being convincing enough to read in normal type.Though your last post was your best so far...but please do not selectively quote Buffett,the guru of many here.Heres from a book-"Buffett likes easy to understand businesses because he knows their future is more certain.."....I am no longer in this share but I still admire greatly this company...

post is a bit more than the usual-let's analyse it. 1st sentence-a threat as to what "will" happen'. 2nd sentence-using an example to "prove" an unrelated different "example". 3rd the first "fact"-sounding comment.Again and unrelated comment to the subject.If one thing is true it doesn't prove all other things. 4th name-dropping now lol! last-useless info. really. hi tomo and others.Derampers fall into categories- 1. nasty tykes whu revel in others' woes and want to increase them. 2. those with shorting in the given share 3. paid derampers. 4. smart alecs trying to show off. 4. those jealous of success as with here. Normally you identify these from the few who are genuinely putting a negative point by the lack of reasoned facts and research.

yes though you must admire ASC for how it has confounded all the so-called experts,it is a share that few might now think of getting into at these levels.Having said that,it will probably eventually get up even more!

anyone know why ASC share deals carry no UK Stamp Duty though it is registered in the UK-is it Channel Islands or somewhere?

I see ASC has reached about 40% of NXT's market cap. Only a brave person would rule out ASC catching NXT someday.

well nothing is forever including ASC,you'd get to a point where Martians were buying their clothes and delivery vans going to Uranus lol! On this planet not everyone will hear of them,there are parts they can't reach unlike Guinness! An ASC short must succeed eventually,these "experts" must be right sometime.But don't expect any expert to tip you a real winner before it happens,they go for the averages safe shares going nowhere usually,so they keep their jobs by not taking risks too much. ASC might reach a steady state like the said VOD a kind of blue chip utility share.At that level the price of cotton has little effect as with Shell not being too much affected by the oil price,yes I know it is a bit...

Yes your post is about the best set of reasons I've seen up to now for explaining the huge rises of ASC apparently despite the collective "wisdom" of the "experts"-it is because none of them are young women,they don't "get" it therefore.Of course neither did I,though I like you I'm sure and others who have passed through here at least got a few nice profits along the way. As to miners,I was operating a few guidelines for selecting shares last year which appear to have got me into a set of very early producers.These have not yet managed to get past the always high entry costs with overheads like plant etc. holding them back.That's been the problem with ATC,RRR and AGQ while in addition RRR have had many hold-ups and the need to take out loans.AB has juggled between his holdings a lot too.Most though agree he is a gifted person who should get there sometime,though no-one knows when.I'm sure he has a plan,I think he erred a bit with that "presentation" raising false early hopes,now he keeps far more quiet,probably better in the long run. AFE-I must confess I'm probably the no.1 poster over there in volume,about 6,000 posts lol on that of my total lol- but without bias I still say it does have a lot of potential,already gone up x12 since Jan.2009 and a big PFS coming in Q3,watch that space..

Yes it seems few who post here actually stayed in with ASC all the way up,yet another rise yesterday beyond 2000p,how long can this defy apparently all the "experts" none of whom tipped such rises ? You'd have thought the big fire back at 400p would have finished it, or the recession, or the huge rise in cotton prices but no.I thought wrongly too that that there would be no reason why other net people shouldn't have got into this market to compete with ASC-maybe some branch of the several large US mail-order firms who must have known this situation for years...there must though be niches for more than a few to exploit the world net ? What we might be witnessing here is the rise of another MKS..who as I've said began years ago with one barrow selling odd clothes! Anyway yes like with you, I've got a few miners mainly but without much happening there for months. My assumptions are based on us having hopefully a year or so of a rising stock market,but not a lot of signs even that the large gold price rise is helping gold miners like RRR much so far.I'd still bet on miners coming good but it will take time...?...also have the ever-reliable AFE plus AGQ and ATC among others. They can't all be bad for years,or can they ?

I read one of your earlier posts there.Yes when not if this goes private the deal might be interesting.Assuming the land is owned by the H. family they might even go for demolition then building high density Mumbai overflow knockups with big potential profits ? There must be some lucrative catch in this somewhere.I get the feeling the lowering of the SP here is part of the plan...you might even get a govt. investigation into it all ,always allegedly as some say...

Just came here expecting "usual" 70p or so,and now it is at 45.25p...yes the family might be thinking of going private here.There may be some tax advantages in that for them,allegedly of course some say ? Doubt still that this is well enough known to be shorted however. All those rich man's apartments outside Mumbai,when I had these shares a year ago it seemed a cinch that they would be a gold-mine. Were they all built and occupied ? Possibly the spec. was far too high leading to high overheads ? Sorry about this for those here-kechacho and other friends.

I never had the g*ts to stay here.Each time I read about ASC it's tipped by so-called experts to slump,it never has.Anyone still here since the early days deserves their present fortune.G/L to all whom post here,I remain an honorary but unpaid lol,ASC-fan.
