I read elsewhere you hope to get RRR,interesting post there saying someone sells a large slice each evening to supress the SP.There has been a bit of shorting all the way down too.Gold sales will be low they say due to hols.AB still criticised like with BG in CNE he's hardly got shares though he's invested indirectly with RGM and several others like Jupiter.The thread as you know is pretty rough at times,I get slammed fairly often by a few lol.Though I get on quite well now with the resident troll.

PFC got a broker downgrade to Neutral so fell a good bit.

As I said,I'm 40% above last year,not too bad.Thought JT would be higher but the BEM charts is just like RRR-the "plane coming into land" shape which is quite common now for miners.But see how AGQ managed to take off in only 2 days,it IS possible.Jibbo has chosen the best of the miners though I hope they can all rise soon.Honestly I found prars' set the most unusual but to get a takeover in only 2 weeks is phenomenal,Dairy Crest years ago was similar I used to have that as one of my my best share picks,had it about 15 times! Now have 4 scraping just above 100%,while the two tobaccos are coughing after IMT's ex-dividend and probably defensive profit-taking.FBT is a small volcano which will erupt but it might be a while,as their two agreements are cloaked in confidentiality rules according to mulledwine.At least I'm about 40% above where I finished lst year lol!

With +9% yesterday and +17% earlier on, might AGQ be thinking about more than just a test flight ? Many other small miners have put up with up to a year of hassle. Could these soon be gearing up for similar, given that the FTSE AIM Index is up over 11% from December ?

11.3% up with WPP now,7.8% net of costs,£78 on a 1k scale,test continues.

Take a look at AGQ Sunjammers' posts tonight,really impressed and he's saying 80p to 100p eventually to a takeover..

Suggesting an award for worst share-The Sir Fred Award lol..

Last year we were all were below 100% with myself about 50%,this year it could be over 400% or so to win.In fact the range can be between inifinity and zero lol.If you'd had the record miner years ago Poseidon you'd have been about 40,000 times up! One especially of Jibbo's amazing collection could do something similar ?

was for a short while a 17% rise there but now the MM's have got the spread up to 9% so lost a good bit of that,however you do need your test flights lol!

Well maybe the AGQ plane is having a test flight ?

I'll do the BEM chart then-a rather nice long stable SP bit there from 21 Nov to 10 Jan was destroyed was it due to bad news ? However like AFE,RRR,and AGQ you see a good very narrow MACD in fact rising slightly.Yes the Relative Strength did dip badly after 10 Jan but it's coming up again nicely.A few rises in the next period will solve that.I'd still say the BEM chart ties in quite well with these other small miners apart from the last few days.No real worries,have to walk before you run..HOLD it.

IF you got into RRR -only in event of a strongly rising SP of course,you'd be very rich before I got anything as my average is about 12-13p.However having even now a profit on AFE I can balance out losses on other miners for a time with that.AFE is therefore my insurance policy against losses elsewhere.Having my asset pyramid and being a bit poor always limits my cash allocations.Hopefully all the miners would rise together sometime ? Warning though that these newcomers to posting and investing at RRR are only interested in a fast buck-they will sell pronto then rush to the next killing.Any rises might then again be devalued as so often before.Though I do like the AGQ,AFE and RRR charts far better these days..that's all I can say...

Looking at the charts of some small miners,I've no idea if these are typical but I'm finding a similarity in the ones I've researched recently. e.g. RRR,AFE and AGQ.You are getting a shape like a plane coming in to land,the Relative Strengths are low/they are oversold and the MACD's are very tight showing stabilisation,and might even be rising gently .RRR for example has an MACD rise since 28th Nov.! Whether this means a recovery fairly soon depends on many things,the dollar,Europe etc. etc. things outside control.At RRR a lot of new posters have come in seeming to be daytraders looking for a quick profit.So possibly in event of rises small profits might be snatched away.Do these newcomers have any loyalty to companies ? At least shorters will be getting fewer hits these days which is always a good thing lol.At least the FTSEall-AIM Index ^FTAI is now up 11% since mid-December but it might be due to the likes of GKP mainly ?

it reminds me of in the old days playing SimCity and selling all my real estate to get statues-of myself lol! Or a football team I know who are selling 20-year season tickets to get temporary money to waste...

Yes BG has been an excellent oilman,he has a store of goodwill he will be given from that due to his past successes.However,things change,past glories do not make the present,and he is subject to luck and the skill of his geologists.He isn't doing the drilling and selections himself these days.A few months ago I suggested a perfectly sane method for CNE to become "a utility" with steady incomes from CI.Now that may all be sold and an uncertain future beckons.Yes CNE can be a successful explorer but can they retain the safe investors who must have joined looking for security and a Shell-type future with steady profits and annual dividends ? Yes you'd get some more large special dividends but you know these are from large chunks of oil which might not be replaced easily,and many millions will need to go on drilling which just could have stayed in the company.So CNE for a few years is going to be a net user of capital rather than a generator of tthat.Finally BG's payments,a bit non-PC these days in times of fat cat accusations elesewhere..of course who am I to give advice on oil or even shares when you look at my falling VPF and miners (again) lol ?

another report-CNE is in discussions about farming out with a partner some of the Greenland project to share costs...goes further though the words "sell a stake" are used. My comment.Is CNE backtracking a bit after 2 poor years of dusters ?

Really amazing reports I read in 2 papers today about CNE- 1. considering selling ALL the rest of CI within next year or so.The money to go to new exploration/and/or taking over explorers. 2. a real furore over why/how Bill Gammel is getting £4m as a reward for company services,also noting his lack of CNE shares ! CNE hopes to also give out more whopping special dividends to shareholders in future. My comment it seems CNE is throwing away solid income in return for risky blank areas on the Earth's surface to hopefully fill in with oil wells.. yes early VPF days but you and prar' seem to be in your own battle up there at the top though JT isn't far behind.
