Review of VPF after month3 Feb 2012 10:00
There are now with my VPF obviously three strong movers-AHT,BGC and IMG. AHT exploiting hiring of equipment mainly in America where there is a possible recovery.BGC is a solid pharma with recent successful drug announcements. While IMG say they have produced half a billion electronic appliances saying too they are going for the billion now! Yes of course these FTSE350 shares can't replicate any of Jibbo's AIM stars. The tobaccos IMT and BATS look like they will drop after large dividend payments then recover periodically-several dividends per year- but they are providing a stable foundation in any storms coming-Europe,Iran etc.PFC in oil services reacted to a broker downgrade which mulledwine said was a bit ridiculous but has recovered somewhat.Oils looked the best sector a few weeks ago- less so now -but again we have Iran in future...
Finally the unpredictable FBT which I said would either be champ or chump, hasn't done anything much since getting their system on to YouTube, there's some confidentiality rules preventing publicity it seems, but it will lurk down there, don't write it off..
Overall despite a few disappointments at the start it is shaping up a bit stronger now.At least no danger of emulating last years'; 50% lol.
