I'm out with oil shares lol.not even any CNE now....Anyway my game plan is when I get a bit of blue in AFE I'm well in profit so that covers losses elsewhere like RRR etc. lol.My last oil made a small profit though on Encore before it crashed.

AFE up 25% now

your new shares will be worth less than todays CNE price each.and you'll have fewer.After a while the ( no.of your new shares times their price) +your dividend= the present CNE value of your shares.

though you can spend your dividend anytime on anything or even more shares.Enjoy!

you notice the trick in this is you won't come out on top unless you hold your new CNE shares about a year.

again normal,a few silly ones will panic and sell.You hopefully will be able hold on a year while your new shares equalise with the old shares leaving your dividend as clear profit and a good %age too.And no CG in an ISA.Outside the ISA you can delay taking your dividend if wanted to phase across any CG.Have you read about Buffett-loads on the net ? Patience wins the day.

Has an over 50% rise in 2 weeks and is now climbing more.Never anything assumed though.GL

in my experience of 4 other situations like this it took about a year for my new shares to equal my old shares and thus my special dividend being a clear profit.Leaving aside external factors of course.It was always a money maker for the patient all the same.I used to deliberately get myself into that with a few water shares lol.

yes agree in normal dividends the SP falls but here fewer shares which means still an equivalent loss of value.The difference shouldn't be more than the dividend though

1.quite normal in most dividends for the SP to fall by an equivalent amount.To compensate non receivers next week for not getting it.Usually it recovers back in time.Your dividend is a gain on whenever you return to par. 2. no CG in ISAs

look at the charts of HAS-hiring workers; AHT hiring equipment;SDY hiring vehicles-all doing well;a sign of a waking up market-these were depressed for about 2 years!

Now I have 3 shares up +7% overall.

I may still be in the -not -Sir Fred place but I've solid performers this year,the gap overall isn't going to be near as great,always competitive.

Briarbank on RRR 2pm tonight -excellent post-you're getting plenty info that I never had a year ago when I bought RRR and it fell steeply just after,most believe it is now at rock bottom famous last words..lol.

I might possibly soon be involved with being given either new Cobra shares or cash from the float AFE want to do,so I'd get my average diluted.I'd not want Cobra copper shares,I'd hope to sell any or use the money to top up with AFE.Argghh!

I've tried to put JT off but he's allowed his own piggy bank lol.Yes loans and loans.I wouldn't bet on Colombia covering except the bread and butter,production has got a bit stuck and now we lack figures since last year.I explained how a JORC couldn't be done due to the veined rather than pipes type gold.Greenland isn't in the value and will take years-Baffinland found theirs in 2004,sold to Mittal in 2011.And they had spending too.Like AGQ you get these costs getting production up.Unlike AGQ there's other projects to fund.JT missed out though the jewel JMS yes charts like RRR now but they've bought back shares and they hope to get 2 projects up by about H2-Mt Ida and Tshipi.Read it up.Also theyve POSCO and Brian Gilbertson of BLT fame in JMS-read that too.Can I put JT off,well if I don't his shares will be at about 1/4 of my average lol!

looked at recently included-SMDR the small oil but bad charts;FXPO had them before,quite a good company in Ukraine a slightly off-putting thing;FRES my favourite from last VPF doing well still but already have silver with AGQ which I believe in;finally a new one to many is EFM,worth a look maybe their markets a bit depressed though,and nice chart,though often funds don't grow much ?
