Member Info for mogo

I am doing a comparison of RSL,AV.,and PRU. Recent charts appear fairly similar.The PRU and RSL are or have been interested in takeovers,the PRU has had great Asian results but failed with AIA. The best dividend is from RSL followed by AV. However PRU's dividend appears miserly. I've held these apart from RSL before,it is a newer company though AV. rebraded from Norwich. Is that correct so far ? I'll extend this comparison,not just interested in straight dividends but growth prospects too. Finally where do I find record dates to qualify for dividends for these ? Thanks for any reply I know you post very widely and respect your views.

how does a buy back affect an individual shareholder-I am not in here-yet..

looking at the chart,it does appear a risky BUY at least short term to return to the 70p range for a short while,but personally I'd go to another dozen elsewhere first!

I am confused as there are so many different "irons in the fire" there.Really only one needs to come good to ignite that share. As for KMR it is one share I never worry about. I stupidly sold it for a short time but rebought it. Looking at its' chart, obvious why. They had the two setbacks last year. The flood accident was just a chance to show how on the ball the directors are while the 10m euros court case might allegedly be won on appeal. Yes having an own use jetty fronting the Indian Ocean in Mozambique with two ships-one is an extra one-backed by the titanium source is an obvious Chinese attractor for a commodity getting into short supply...I won't go on more as I'm a guest here and am not a ramper, prefer to let people lose/gain their own money lol! it might in fact be quite favourable tax-wise for it to stay low.It's just a kind of holding company for some slices of the family's riches.Their wealth you will imagine will be in safe bonds somewhere..allegedly of course.

if you have other winners,you can offset these before 5.4.11 by rolling forwards deliberate losses as here,to set against future hopeful CG gains,my last years' HMRC tax form said 4 years is the roll-over limit.Also riddler do you know if Canadian shares will be treated as non-foreign shares in futre,it might help extend too the number of ISA-able shares-I know you have a good thread on General on that,I should have put that there,sorry.

yes probably that last shakeout night have thrown out many of the earlier investors as it looked going down but again it rises! I come here for old times sake sometimes,a new investment here now might be harder to get so much out of. Ishould have stayed in at 450p a few years ago then sold my stake to remove risk,but then the net wasn't so developed and the warehose fire put me off a bit. Could have got more than 4 times by now lol.

Disastrous today,the family need to get a grip of this company,the inbuilt value though is still great,it's just the market doesn't seem to agree..

KMR is also destined for quite great things -has about 7% of world titanium market DYOR GL

I am of course not in here,though the rise today might just get it to 2000p not long in future.I feel happy not in here really as my nerves would make me want to sell if I'd been in from the start.I did make a few profits here though last year and enjoyed meeting rock,yourself,tomo,Rad' etc.Yes RRR is disastrous these days.AB a bit overblown I fear though I'll stay there as long as it takes.The cotton price here must have some effect though might finish the High St instead of ASC ?

profits and earnings for WHOLE year '10 are up in the low 70's %,which DOES surpass the Telegraph report forecasts,sorry.

is less than the 70% the report yesterday said it would be...

Telegraph says 31/1/11-ARM will announce 70% rise in profits tomorrow Tuesday!!! Was that worth 3x "!'" s ??? We will see..
