I still say that the DMG plant will not be pushed forward until site 13 of Protos has its PET recycling plant up and running. After all its supposed to be part of the whole plastic recycling site. Why would you build and commission a plant to just sit therein an open field with product and not be able to sell it on. Yes you could sell elsewhere but it defeats the object of the plastic park to complement other process. No doubt other companies would buy the Hydrogen. But I assume that they would want a longer term supply contract than just a year or more than a year or less. Enviroo Recycling Plant (site 13) goes live in 63 weeks and 4 days

If anyone is interested the process at site 13 next door goes live in 67 weeks and 6 days. The PET recycling plant intends to use heat energy from site 10 next door DMG plant. Here is a personal estimate for when the PHE plant will be truly up and running . Its based upon the site 13 next door which requires energy and heating from the PHE plant and its ability to take the unrecyclable plastic the site 13 passes over for feedstock plus other supply's. Its Mid December 2022 or just before. Site 13 goes live in 70 weeks and 4 days.

Or even the price they paid for buying into the the firm of consultants. That's about the 80K value.

I notice that there is funding available by competition to come up with solutions to provide Hydrogen under cover of the following: BEIS LOW CARBON HYDROGEN SUPPLY 2 COMPETITION: STREAM 2 TRN 5045/04/2021 - Perhaps PHE should enter it post haste.

In addition to last post further reading of planning statement says the following:
The gas engines would operate in a combined heat and power mode, which would
enable heat from the facility to be fed into a Protos wide district heat network
e.g. the recovered heat could be used by a potential plastic recycling company
on the adjacent Plot 13 in the form of steam and hot water, which would use
circa 1MW of thermal energy.

I still believe that the PHE site and the adjacent PET recycling plant are meant to compliment each other as they appear to have the same approx. building span. The PET processing plant goes live in 71 weeks and 4 days as per their web site. They also say that they cannot recycle lids and labels and look to off load those items onto other local plants for processing.
The PHE plant look to supply electrical energy to other local plants on the site as well as Hydrogen to HGV trucks bringing in waste.
The consented facility comprises a hydrogen production facility which would
employ an advanced thermal treatment process to generate hydrogen,
electricity and heat from waste plastic which is not suitable for recycling. The
hydrogen could be provided for HGV’s to use as a zero emissions fuel or could
be exported in bulk deliveries offsite. The facility would generate electricity to
meet the facilities parasitic energy demands and for export to the local electricity
distribution network. The facility would also be capable of exporting heat to local
heat users. It may be useful to follow both plants for future commissioning dates.

Rooky, Always good to have independent consultant as part of your board and company especially as this process has a confidential or secret element to it. I just hope that their servers are Chinese hacker proof as well.

Thank you DR A and Gent 1, your links were very interesting. I noticed that the Reuters link didn't mention DMG tech or PHE. But it came to the conclusion that the process funded by the oil industry etc was not commercially profitable compared to using ground sourced oil for energy purposes. It also fell down because of the need to sort out recycled and non recycled plastics. Presumably that's why Peel, Tresoil and PHE are to be part of a plastic park process that will compliment both types of plastics. Nether the less, good interesting articles in both cases.

If all these PHE plants are converting plastic and tyre waste into Hydrogen for transport. And as stated the waste product of cars etc is water. Are we not a risk of adding more water to the planet by carbon conversion and ending up living on boats much like that Kevin Costner film, Waterworld.

Good link to recharge site Dr A. I was thinking about a Baxi Hydrogen gas boiler when my current Baxi gives up the ghost. Even if it means having a tank in the garden for supply. Perhaps there will be enough PHE plants to go around the country to supply me in Clacton. If not there is a site here where the old, town gas tanks, that were sited, still left empty. Then I read the article about 4 times more dangerous than north sea gas for explosions. I may have to review the situation as Fagin put it.

DR A , I did like the reference to Aesop's birds in the Morgan article. Perhaps PHE could be the Tortoise and Hare fable I read to my kids when they were young. Its certainly been a slow race since 2012 when the share price peaked at 24p.

before then. Following the consultation, we plan to submit a planning application
to Cheshire West & Chester Council in the autumn. If we are successful in securing
planning consent, the new facility will take around 18 months to build and will be

Enviroo pet plastic recycling facility at protos

Thanks for that update Led. I only went by the protos site just now that was taking enquiries for 9 sites. Site 13 is still PHEs best bet as a complimentary provider of waste materials and perhaps could use some of the energy created by PHE in its process.

Hi Mark. I just had a look at some of the planning applications and the best one that complements PHE is next door site 13. Its for a PET recycling plant for food and drinks containers. They collect, sort and use PET plastics in their plant and could use the PHE plant to dispose of the unrecyclable types. Documents are all available from Protos web site. Other plants are for the Bio to energy processes creating other types of gases etc. Site one would make a good off and onloading plant for waste and products that could come by the ship canal from Liverpool and Manchester.

I don't know if anyone has looked at the protos site but there is still 9 sites that have yet to be let out yet. IMO its part of the reason that these delays are now coming up. Why would you jump straight ahead at completion of just one site when they are destined to complement each other. I assume that plastic of all types would need to be sorted out for recycling for use in other plants and those unrecyclable used in either incineration plants or under the PHE process. I to have been a LTH with 500 shares purchased at one third of a penny. My later top ups were at 9p now averaged down to 8p a share so I fully understand the frustration. However this is nothing to compare with the excitement seeing my first batch jump up to 10p. Boy did I feel like I was on my way to being a millionaire. I still look forward to that in the future. So hold fast and don't compound the paper loses by selling.
