Seaflat, Longspurs research indicate a reducing capital cost in the order of the following:-
Capital cost
22,389,610 FOAK
16,826,000 NOAK
10,095,600 Further NOAK
NOAK meaning nth of a kind
However Docs comment about the asset value being in the IP is correct. And more relevant to PHE.
Capital costs of the plants are more relevant to the owner operators and and their sales margins on the resultant products such as units of KWH and KG of Hydrogen

Just posted the following to Mail on line Boris Article about heating homes with Hydrogen.

UK company Power House energy is about to have its plastic waste to energy plant start construction at the Protos Plastic park adjacent to the Manchester Ship canal. It can convert all unrecycled plastic into electricity as well as Hydrogen to fuel the HGVs bringing the plastic waste to the park. Check it out.
So come on you guys do the same for any other comments section in the newspapers.

That's ok PT. Peels time line only refers Start of construction. However you are correct in so far as The Hydrogen service pumps on plot 9B are going to be later addition I assume as and when there are Hydrogen HGVs available to purchase the product.

Sorry PT I don't see where I referred to Hydrogen being supplied anytime in 2022 on this thread. Could you give me a clue as to which post your comment is about.

POWERHOUSE ENERGY LONGSPUR RESEARCH 15 JULY 2020
The difference between the residual waste figure and the residual waste treatment capacity
is untreated waste which would be available for Powerhouse projects. This ranges from -
3.8Mt to 8.5Mt with a mean of 2.8Mt and a median of 3.5Mt. The low case is an extreme
one and more recent work from E4Tech suggests that the high end of the range may be
more likely with a figure of 7.3Mt after removing competing uses. In Europe, CEWEP
analysis based on the latest Eurostat figures estimates that 88Mt are available overall.
A single Powerhouse project is expected to consume just under 12,000t per annum. This
suggests a capacity in the UK for between 240 and 730 projects and 7,500 projects in
Europe as a whole. As existing incinerators reach the end of their lives, gasification may
become a preferred route for waste, increasing the size of this opportunity.
These conclusions are backed up by a study the company has undertaken for the initial site
at Protos. This shows 1.4Mt of plastic waste available in the catchment area of the Protos
project today.

Quite right Nutty. That's where the Engsolve part comes into play along with, I assume Dan Ryan. If he is still in the frame as an independent consultant. There's is nothing better than having people with years of background knowledge to fall back on if a project has a few problems. Plus it enhances the profit for PHE which Im sure every body wants.
For the purpose of clarity Gent 1 look up ARM semiconductors. Their technology covers virtually most of the semiconductors used in computers, phones and even outer space projects. Yet you never see ARM mentioned in any of the brands that are licenced to use their tech.

This may be of some help.
Protos at Ellesmere Port, Cheshire (Part of Peel NRE)
- Design & development of a local CO2 network will continue to enable emitters at Protos who capture their emissions to transport their CO2 to the HyNet pipeline which will be developed adjacent to Protos. This will further contribute to reducing emissions at Protos and delivering net zero in the North West. Completion expected by end 2025.
- Feb/March– completion of the Protos Grid substations to import and export electricity at Protos to the regional grid. This will also give Protos the ability to provide power to occupiers at Protos. This will enable 50MW of export capacity and 6MW of import. Full export of 124MW and 57MW import due October 2023. This has been seen by a fellow poster and appears structurally complete but not yet buzzing.
- Spring - planning decision expected to bring the first Plastic Park to the UK to process some of the 4.9 million tonnes of plastic waste produced in the country each year. Still in planning
- Summer/autumn - start on site at the plastic-to-hydrogen facility to turn unrecyclable plastic waste in the region into a clean fuel for buses, HGVs and cars. Not started as yet although road to site boundary is complete.
- Autumn – completion of three further ecology areas providing habitat for wading and overwintering birds and water voles. This brings the total area dedicated to flora and fauna at Protos to over 45 hectares, the equivalent of 45 rugby pitches. This may be subject to social housing for water voles and holiday home noise levels restrictions by Nat England for migrating bird life.
- By summer – completion of phase 2 infrastructure works including approx. 1.6km of roads, bridges, drainage and ecology areas to facilitate future plot development on site. Still a works in progress I assume.

I just logged out of my BG account. So it must be a variable problem with everyone trying to submit meter readings.

I was just wondering if any other Centrica shareholders are BG customers on the variable tariffs. Personally I paid my energy bills out of dividends. Yet now there are no dividends, and the share price I hold at is 37% down. Also to rub it in they are now buying back shares out of profits that I could use to pay my energy bills. This B.O.D. really do suck. What about a discount for BG customers who are shareholders at least to soften the blow.
