Hi BT you didn’t imagine it.
Quote. The Plastic Park will deal with a wide range of plastic waste providing recovery solutions for materials where recycling has not previously been a viable option. It will take plastic that’s at the end of its life, maximising what can be removed for recycling, with the remaining non-recyclable plastic used to create electricity, hydrogen or other products.
We estimate that the UK needs to invest over £7.5bn in infrastructure to deal with plastic waste over the next 10 years, with the development of Plastic Parks across the country. The first park at Protos will set a blueprint for the rest of the UK revolutionising the way that plastic waste is currently handled.
Plus, if you look a previous Peel picture at https://www.protos.co.uk/plastic-park/ it shows the circular recycling method that ends with the DMG plant.
So, imagine how much easier it will be to persuade other councils that this is the best plastic waste recycling and disposal method for the waste plastics industry. And all that’s needed is planning permission to get it off the ground in other areas.
Now if funding is needed. How about going to the two main sources of plastic pollution. The oil industry and the aligned plastic manufactures. Push for their input so that they can keep their industries alive for when oil is totally banned.
