A number of the companies are involved in investments so as a practising lawyer I can see why he is part of the BOD. In other words he is there to look after our interests with regard to the finalisation of the tie-up with peel. Plus any IP problems with the DMG process in the future. Also show me any billionaire or even a millionaire that hasn't been involved in a busted flush company in their past. Its par for the course and a good learning part of the business process. Also some of these other directors could well have been brought in at the last minute to try and save the company. In some cases it was too late.

Powerhouse is using it to optimise performance, maximise energy recovery, and perfect the internal geometry of its Thermal Conversion Chamber (TCC) before it goes into production at Mitchell Dryers, near Carlisle
They just need to get the equations right to expand on the small size demonstrator to a larger scale. Now once that is done I assume that the manufacturing build will take 4 months still to complete as was mentioned a long time back when I was carrying out my own research into the company.

Same here Cureboy. I have an average of 3.1p. Except that its not the worst share in my ISA that goes to Lloyds Bank, Centrica and Direct line. All are showing paper losses of 40 to 50% and all are blue chip companies. My only consolation is my income drawdown HL managed funds that are showing gains of 40% across the board. So its a case of hold tight and put a request to Santa in your gift sack or stocking. For an uplift in share price or better still a manufactured full size Thermal combustion chamber. Ready for installation.

The next stage of the project is to design and build an industrial-scale system capable of processing around 1.5 tonnes of material an hour. Which I assume is still to be started

Now with everyone's indulgence. I want to turn the attention to the contractors. What is their remit?
My thoughts are that the design, manufacture and testing of the DMG gasification and associated parts are all to be factory built offsite. And is really part and parcel under PHEs control. Is that one of the contractors mentioned.
Then there is the onsite fabrication of roadways and buildings to house the DMG plant. Now that in my mind is suitable for SISK to carry out. After all they already have the setup and heavy plant available. And are proven, roadway, bridge and services contractors.
Could they also be capable of coordinating along with Peel to carry out those works including contracting out the weighbridge, gas tanks, plastic feedstock silos, electrical intake rooms and of course the 5-gas turbine electrical generators.
Then finally comes the installation of the DMG thermal plant. Would that come under the manufacture’s own installation team?
I am beginning to think that the two thirds sized, close to commercial operating plant that is the be located somewhere else is going to be our FOAK commercial installation.
Please fill free to offer any other thoughts on the matter. Plus, as a retired electrical engineer and company director of the two business I built from scratch. I have to admit I am a bit of a Geek myself.

However, there are two parts to any new construction project. Planning permission or a permitted development which gives planning permission without an application. And then there is Building regulations covered by the building regulations dept. that requires you to submit to inspections for various stages of construction. In my case it was the trenching out of earth for the concrete foundations. They want to see that have you made it deep enough and also is the soil at the base capable of supporting the weight of the forth coming build. I have seen inspections that made the builder trench down from 1m to 2m as the soil at the base was incapable of supporting the structure.
With regard to site clearance of foliage that had to be carried out before the bird nesting season and is not covered by building regs. Only the planning consent. I also seem to remember that one of your video posts showed that a JCB or some other heavy plant had scrapped some soil during a later year within the nesting season which was against the planning permission. I suspect that Sisk had a plant operator at loose ends so the foreman told him to play around with Plot 10B.
So only the commencement of the interior roadway and the site foundations and concrete hard standing etc would constitute a start of the build.

Quite so PT. My planning application commenced upon the digging of the foundation and a notice of the trench to the inspection dept. to come and look within 7 days. If nobody turned by the 7th day I could carry on also notifying at each stage of construction etc. There is another forth coming change to the foundations base regulations to incorporate an insulation layer in June 2023. So Peel really needs to get a move on to avoid even more additional costs.

This from a previous posting by our roving reporter Ledzep.
The plots that constitute the Plastic Park concept; i.e. plots 9B, 10A, 10B, 11,12,13 haven't seen any specific development, only access road and infrastructure services work.
The only plot with significant ongoing work is Plot 8, Covanta's Energy Recovery Facility.
So unless the services work constitute a start on all the plots I would say only a possibility that PP has been commenced.
However in light of the cherry picking clause that Helsby council have had put in. An extension could be claimed quite easily as the council has installed another clause that by definition countered the time scale of 3 years for Plot 3 and 10B as both are plots are mentioned in the overall submissions for the rest of the park.
The only reason I mentioned the march 2023 PP date was that seams to tie up again with what little time scale was mentioned during the interview. What say you other posters on this site.
I must admit to being disappointed that no actual physical construction of the Kiln as KR puts it is underway. Even HUI have posted a picture of their engineers DMG thermal screw chamber in construction. Are they having to await further computer simulations before finishing and commissioning a kiln.

Yes you are right in your assumption that all components of the park are dependent on each other.
And is required by Helmsby Council and forms part of the approved planning permission.

Planning Statement section 1.1.5 states “It is the intention of the applicant that the various components of the Plastics Park could be developed out in a phased manner with individual operators and developers bringing forward individual or multiple components of the Plastics Park over time”.

Helsby Parish Council would like some guarantee that the benefits from the integrated nature of this application – which have been emphasised by the applicant - are realised and the applicant does not “cherry-pick” individual facilities for development. Given the convoluted planning history of Ince Recovery Park/Protos, and the multiple variations and condition amendments, we are concerned that, for example, only the least-environmentally friendly element, the Polymer Laminate Recycling Facility (PLRF) gets built out. Or only the Plastics Recycling Facility 1 (PRF1) is built out and the site simply becomes a place where 200,000 tons per year of mixed waste is brought in for sorting and then the components hauled out again for processing elsewhere. Is it possible for any planning permission to be worded so that this situation is avoided?
That has been covered by the planning permission.
On a separate note Plot 10B planning permission runs out on the 3rd anniversary of the 18th March 2020. So hopefully building of the internal plot 10B roadway will at least start before then. As that along with site fencing is mentioned being carried out before any plant installation.

Tatty, So the drop on Friday was down to Peel withdrawing one Scottish application and nothing to do with the entire Stock markets throughout the UK and world after the US increased their base interest rate for the dollar. Try watching CNBCs Squawk box from 6am to to 9am if you want to see which way the markets look like moving. I wouldn't worry too much about the option. It still has to be agreed too at financial close of Protos. Peel will have to provide some sort of commitment to produce completion of X amounts of plants to maintain that exclusive agreement.

Quite right Moomins. The Scotland site was mostly objected too by local residents who wanted a parkland developed instead of more industrial plants. It follows along the same lines as the London docklands being developed from industrial warehouses into flats. With the same application being applied to Battersea power station. From Peels point of view they could probably create more expensive water side flats now without any form of difficulty. It also will not have any effect to our plant at Protos as the council has already given the go ahead for Plot 8s incinerator already half way through construction.

Hi doc or Bob and thanks for the Xmas interview present. There was just one present missing from Santa's sack. The question for KR. Do we have a thermal combustion chamber in the process of manufacture, or testing etc and is it with M Dryers Ltd. With regard to Plot 10B, I do not see that PHE has the experience to conclude the contract to supply the concrete bases, roadways, weighbridge, gas electrical generators , electrical intake rooms or the hydrogen tanks as they are bought in items. Is that under Peels control and organisation. Please could you pass these questions onto KR. Thanks Doc and have a nice Christmas your self

Plots 9B,10A,11 and 12 are still showing as available on Protos web site. So I doubt if they have been touched as yet. I reckon that plot 13 will commence before others as they are funded from elsewhere. Even then when the plant is up and running, the process for food packing materials have to be certified before full production can take place. Head of PET plant mentioned way back that could take up to a year following plant commissioning.

As a retired electrical engineer I do understand supply delivery problems. After all there are hundreds of newly built cars all around the world still awaiting for semiconductor supplies to stabilise after the supply chains collapsed from covid lockdowns.
Just listen to CNBC squawk box any day and its always being a factor in slow growth. Now we have a problem with inflation and rising energy costs to contend with. That's not good for a plant that consists of major steel components that have risen by 40 to 50 % in price.

MJ - there is a recent Proactive i/v covering Italy MDC. And other things. JVDL was very clear it would complete but they are waiting on delivery of a non-Eqtec tech component. So not certain.

However I couldn't find any reference to delivery of non-Eqtec component. Do you have any further info on what that component is? Or is it the refence to the advance methods of feedstock conversion that they are now going to upgrade the plant with.

I presume that the following is still on track:-
Latest News – September 2022: A plant operations team has been recruited and commissioning of the Plant has commenced. The MDC is expected to complete commissioning and become fully operational before the end of 2022.
Then this should surely be well worth the wait.
As regards to over extending themselves the BOD seem to have cornered the market in partially completed or failed waste to energy plants on a global platform at a very attractive knock down price. My other shareholding in PHE has yet to even start building its first commercial plant as yet.
But as its the way forward. Both companies seem to be a good but slowly progression to a profitable future.
