Stephan Bernstein, CEO of GreenRoc, details the PFS results for the new graphite processing plant. Watch the video here.
“A range of companies will be providing will be exhibiting at the event and this will include some live demonstrations, including AFC Energy’s rapid off-grid electric vehicle charger.”
Edit: 2030.... not 2025.
The last tie up was the unfulfilled fuel cell project in 2011. I haven’t seen or heard of anything since. Centrica’s Innovations Department would be the place for talks but I doubt they would just want to be just a customer, in the past they have always seemed to buy in and then ultimately buy out but that may not fit with the recent aggressive streamlining. They are looking at fully electrifying fleet at BG by 2025 and I have seen a portable battery vehicle charger on their website, they also install home and workplace charging points and have tie ups with car manufacturers in the UK, I think BMW and Nissan or at least in the past.

Happy and hopefully a very prosperous New Year!
What’s a 46% er?
Liquid coolant but I don’t think it’s water, Teslas use glycol. The water would be useful for the washer fluid.
Sherry! Is that a code word for glue?
I’m not a member, the list appears to be members rather than attendees, there was a post on here and a link to the meeting on their website. May have flown under the radar but they have now removed the link from the events calendar.
Adam Bond gave a talk today to the British Parking Association, look at the list of members....
Daz, it was the liquid electrolyte fuel cells for the southern deal.
MitchConnor, re your .....BMAC, so your now threatening to just spam negatively skewed post into the board?
Is the loglorry1 thread so embarrassingly informative and painful that the usually overly euphoric hyper clan on this board are unable to make any response to it? Does it needs reposting a few times in order to get it through? Bmac
You’ve still not stated your interest in AFC....... what is it? Your posting volume shows that it’s a matter of great importance, think you’ve posted more in a month than I have in 4 years.....
My interest is that I have a couple of hundred thousand shares or so that I’m hoping at some point in the future will be worth more than they are now......
So again BMAC, what is your interest? What could possibly compel you to spend the time posting on this board that you do?
BMAC, so your now threatening to just spam negatively skewed post into the board? Every on this board is here because they have a vested interest In the AFC share price and more importantly it’s movement. What’s your interest? Surely you don’t expect us to believe you are just performing a public service? There is obvious interest in AFC’s off grid or complimentary to the grid charging solution, stop over simplifying the issues around grid load and local distribution.
Ground source isn’t very effective unless you have the footprint externally, I think they will switch to hydrogen eventually and run the boilers off hydrogen gas piped through the mains. But with piped hydrogen mains would raise the prospect of home AFC units.
The “feedback” was also posted on ADVFN this morning by someone under the pseudonym of Jaknife.
Chippyjo re warranty, makes sense!
Starting your rants early today Bmac? That’s it, get a couple of essays in while a lot of the posters are tied up at the investor day. Don’t cite feedback from a third party without naming a source otherwise it’s just fluff and bunk.
There is also talk of Nat Grid/Cadent planning to switch from Nat Gas to Hydrogen for the Grid, so eventually hydrogen could be piped into the majority of homes, running things like central heating boilers, gas fires and cooking appliances.
Lower explosive limits of common gasses
- n-Butane: 1.8% vol
- Iso-Butane: 1.8% vol.
- Ethane: 3% vol.
- Ethylene: 2.7% vol.
- Hexane: 1.2% vol.
- Hydrogen: 4% vol
- Methane: 5% vol.
- Pentane: 1.5% vol.
- Propane: 2.2% vol.
Methane is piped into nearly everyone’s home,
Butane is freely available for use in outdoor barbecues, indoor portable heaters and patio heaters.
Propane, is used in off grid locations either in bottled form for smaller properties including caravans and bulk storage for larger properties or developments.
So questions to AFC. Please cut and paste as you add to give a collated post please.
1. What is the timescale for completing longevity testing of electrodes for the HydroX-Cell(L)TM and obtaining a warranty?
2. How long is it likely to be before the HydroX-Cell(S)TM can be used in commercial ev chargers? Will the AlkaMem membrane be commercially available in the same timescale? Which metrics remain to be confirmed for this membrane?
3. What patents are still OS and what are the likely timescales for finalisation.
4. What is Rolec’s role in this partnership, what percentage if any of the overall finished product do they have rights to or are they in effect just a customer/distributor for the AFC EV charger? How will AFC slot into their On demand Nation wide charging grid/platform?
