Problem has always been that governments of all colours in the uk hate paying for storage. They see it as unecesary, as we've never had a problem. The treasury sees it as an expensive subsidy to oil companies.

Legal cases are always "nailed on" if you ask your lawyer. They always say "you have a good case".

Unless and until (which will be never) they are held responsible for their advice and maybe suffer a financial hit then it's in their interests to get you into court. No win no fee does lead to Ambulance chasing but by God it means they have an interest in only pursuing cases that genuinely stand a chance.

No , if you look at the RNS's and published documents you will see that there isn't a enforceable statement in any of them. It's all "perhaps", "possible", "forecast", "expected"....

it's AIM - all that money on advisors and legal eagles is spent for a reason. The rampers on here are a very different matter of ocurse but who is going to go after people like Heid, Adrain The Fool or TH2?

Several other small oilers seem to have finished up in suspension recently faced with similar issues and going concern problems. I'd get out while you can. UJO will probably stagger on regardless - I don't think they're in great shape but I think they won't need to suspend this year at least

IIRC there was some talk years ago from RKH and Argos that it's not the seismic quality, per se, it's the actual rock & oil properties that make Direct Detection Indicators for Hydrocarbons ( eg flat spots etc) very difficult to image in the NFB. There are several other basins in the world where this is the case and DHI's don't work.

I've been hoping that those with the inside track - OTM & Ocelot might be preparing us for this amazing transaction.

The numbers are fairly close to early mid February. We've had 14 days numbers since the last shut-in.

Looking at the whole history of the field overall decline is fairly steady. There was a sudden drop end Feb which was a surprise but the field then steadied and continued to decline slowly. According to the CPR's, which are the last official forecasts we have, we should be producing around 9.2 mmscfd - but we're only producing around 4.4 this week - and the 30 day average is 3.32 mmscfd approx

I think the Treasury and the FO would fight hard but the real elephant in the room is what the press would say "Ed betrays Falklanders", "Did outr boys die for this?" etc etc
