Even if they were the operator Mickey he can't say anything new without clearing it with the partners - DB's problem is that his two main operators rarely try and pump their own stock so they only give out meaningful news - he'd be far happier with ANGS or UKOG who pump out positive "news" at the drop of a hat

Its actually quite worrying IMHO - if a small UK oiler has a good result and a bad result you'd expect it to just sit pretty much flat but someone is steadily divesting a lot of shares day in, day out. Those who are sick of the leaks have probably already departed - you don't sit around waiting for another one. I suspect someone thinks another raise is on the cards to pay for the very extended WN operations.

Logically discount rates should reflect your cost of capital - in ANGS case that may be OVER 10% - but normally everyone uses a rule of thumb / industry "standard" - and that's 10% right now - and has been for over a decade.

Viking are supposed to be a reputable outfit - but November is getting a bit late for seismic up in the hills. 116 kms at maybe 20 kms a day - say a week or so to complete

because the production results at show that the basic model peddled by Trice was totally wrong, that water would come in far faster than he ever believed and that the whole play is marginal. which is why no-one is interested in drilling similar features elsewhere WoS or buying HUR

They don't care, they will point to their "responsibility" to the views of their electorate. Unless you can prove corruption individual councillors bear no financial responsibility. Even if you got damages it works out to less than £10 per elector - and many would agree that's a decent investment to delay any new development
