So they have the rig under contract, all the support services (mud logging, mud system, LWD, geologists, drilling crew, materials people, waste disposal and treatment) all contracted............... and not a word has leaked out yet! Marvellous!!

I feel sorry for the rampers - there is NO NEWS on UKOG

In fact almost all the small oilers have a very small flow of real news - which is why you hardly ever hear from the better run outfits (IGas, EDR ) and a lot from the rampers of the ... less well run .... (UJO, ANGS, UKOG)

Once the seismic has been acquired you have to allow 3 months to process (I don't think it's easy in the subsurface here) and then it has to be interpreted.

Then they have to agree and what to do next and where to go

The ground is easy along the tops and in the valleys - but if they were drilling from -3 to -1 there's a reservoir in the middle....................

Thinking about it that's probably the issue they actually have no coverage of the target - or no recent seismic coverage

The problem with talking about the seismic is that UKOG have never shown a decent map of the targeted structure - we have no idea where they were aiming and what seismic coverage there was along the well track. The fact they had to stop and shoot new data suggests the prognosis was horribly wrong. The question is can they actually GET the seismic in the right places. There's a big lake there (as well as cliffs) - if that is the problem area they may need a different crew to the normal vib team
