I think even more so now we probably know the way this will go. Should Drug pass efficacy it will be too big for SNG to scale up manufacturing quickly enough. They will have to partner up with AZN or the like as demand and expectation will be irresistible. I would be stunned if discussions haven’t already been had. Looking forward to a couple of blue days now at least :).

Let’s hope it all works, the world needs it too. Especially if we end up with a second spike as we head into winter. Should SNG001 prove efficacy I don’t see Remdisivir negating the need for our product. Probably the other way round. SNG would need to partner up but we knew that anyway on positive trials.

I think I’m right in saying that Remdesivir is injected into the vein and administered to patients once they have been hospitalised. Should all go to plan with SNG001 home trials, many patients will be able to avoid a hospital stay. Or am I wrong about Remdisivir?.

Placebo by its own definition will give some triallists a lift as the mind is a powerful thing hence placebo effect. I’m not sure sending out a couple of emails amounts to a crusade :). I certainly wouldn’t trouble the CEO again he has better things to think about. I’d be hopeful tbh that Richard Marsden wouldn’t be against SNG being championed. Afterall he said himself he’s thought this was our moment’. GLA.

Yes Nolupus, I’d thought about it. Does appearing on Sky or ITV or Sunday Times affect what they are doing as a company?. No, I. Can’t see it. Not imo. The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about or so they say.

Maybe if enough people make enquiry, then ITV or Sky or whoever then make enquiries on the back of that. They will be more likely to get a response with their enquiry because of their name/standing. I dont know how many PR people SNG have but i assume it is not many, so if their is a miniscule chance we could raise awareness we should do it. IMO.

I think raising awareness at any level must be a positive thing Woodstock. Fire enough bullets and one of them will hit the target. When i fired off an email to the CEO i didnt expect a reply but i did get one. If you don't try you don't get. Although I agree positive test results will be a bigger head turner than what we are doing probably. Not exactly rushed off my feet at the moment though so can throw a bit of effort at this.

Nolupus- sounds like you are on the wrong boards then. TILS? Please, have they even started Phase 1 trials yet?. Well behind SNG, we are going to have trials in the home starting imminently!:)

To be honest Penniewise, AZN would have no chance of picking it up for that now when it passes efficacy. SNG carried on with COPD trials and results thus far have been very good with that. Please DYOR but the COPD market in America alone is in the billions and its the second biggest reason for hospitalisation in the UK. Huge potential on that front. Some of the best brains in respiratory lung disease in the world (please read through the Director bios) are on the top board at SNG. I think they know what they have and I think AZN are well and truly kicking themselves for not picking this up when they could at a decent price. This has all-round anti viral application. What is that worth ?.

That’s a good question penniewise. First, SNG001 against COPD was in advanced Phase II study(and study was going well) when all attention was diverted to the current virus outbreak. As for the Asthma trial I assume AZ were impressed with the drug or they wouldn’t have agreed a £240 million licensing agreement in principle. However, whilst not curing Asthma itself, let’s face it what does? Trials showed it had significant anti viral uplift against underlying conditions such as colds and flu which exacerbates Asthma condition. Problem from AZ viewpoint was that their was not enough of a market or indeed enough patients for SNG to carry out a significant test study on. At least that was my simple understanding of the Asthma situation. But as a drug still showed significant anti viral effect.

I wouldn’t necessarily trust the raw data in the Remdisivir trials in the US. I read that Gilead were also counting recoveries in some cases where patients were still in a hospital bed!? Mind you it’s probably an improvement over detergent and light!. You get the feeling Trump is in desperate need to save his Presidency so he’ll cling to any glimmer. Plus the amount of pull that Gilead would have with some senators, this drug would get taken even if it was dog ****. Shades of Tamiflu here.

Kipper- SNG own the drug outright. They have toiled on this project for over 10 years so I don’t see why they would give it away for free, nor would they be expected too. Maybe Bill Gates would buy the company and then give it away for free:). The Saudis, US and other governments can afford to pay for the drug tbh. A Vaccine would be different especially with poorer countries.

Did a little light reading over the weekend about the Virus Genome. Was interesting to discover that to date at least their is little evidence of any great mutation in the virus RNA. Small changes to the number sequences basically mean little mutation has occurred since the first cases in Wuhan emerged. This means treatments and vaccines are likely to be much more effective for a longer period. The variation thus far amounts to one tenth of one percent. So although we heard from the Chinese it has mutated 33 times, the mutations are not on any great scale.

I’ve tweeted Peston. If he can talk up Novacyt he can definately give SNG a plug, SNG001 will be more important in the grand scheme of things and we are the first home trial for COVID19 in the world!. I think that’s a worthy news headline. GLA.
