Taken some time to digest the recent posts tonight. The hospital tests are going fine.
First, how neat is the amendment. Its a great piece of logisitic really. Patient goes to GP tests positive, gets a courier delivered package and nurse/doctor assistance all the way through the treatment for which with luck he never has to go near a hospital containing spread. Go SNG!!!!!

Pharma, SNG have got permission to carry out at home trials with people >65 or with certain other conditions as per the HRA amendment to the trial of SG016.

Ultimately as Sharesting said the other day we have been really dependant on an effective testing kit to speed things up. Sounds very much like they have one now. I think that may have been the technological advance CEO was talking about in the Finncap video (imo) and 'creative thinking' probably how best to go about the trials and monitoring etc. I'm pretty certain that is all coming together now. We are a week or more behind the curve on that and its a fast moving environment.

Also I can see the scenario where someone is unwell at home or in a care home or they visit their GP. Quick test, especially in a care home where other residents may be positive and then (upon a positive test) they take SNG001 straight away. Cuts out a large percentage of the wait time you describe and greatly increases efficacy. Thats my belief but please DYOR.

Hi Trek, obvs thats each and everyones decision as its their money at the end of the day!. Except the end of your piece didnt mention that the NHA now have means of testing via a POCT that tells them in 10-15 mins if someone is positive. This as your piece says will reduce waiting time to start treatment by 2-3 days (owing to not having to wait for hospital results to come back). Just for a bit more balance:)

It struck me reading through the Accord objectives that SNG won't make it onto that trial. The MO if you like is for new therapeutics to be fast tracked if they show promise. SNG001 is not a new therapeutic really it has a bit more flesh on the bones than the accord triallists. As the CEO said on the proactive investor interview the SG016 trial is the 'cleanest, quickest way to market.' I see it as a major positive the product is in the form of an inhaler and combined with the POCT that apparently gives you a result in 10-15mins should (if proves efficacy, NHA indicates it does imo)make us perfect for home treatment.

I havent attempted no, I did make a decision if i got a reply back i wouldnt keep sending emails despite his kind response. They are very busy and id rather he spend his time dealing with all the things he has going on, but as i said if he wants to get back he will and if he doesnt he won't so keep us all posted, I appreciate you making the effort on our behalf. Information is king afterall.

The NHA is telling us it works, with the proviso it will work better the sooner we get the drug into people after infection. Which I presume would apply to any effective drug.

Unless an RNS lands Simmo and then you are caught with your ***k in your hand. Not sure I want to play that game for the sake of a few pennies but each to their own.:).

I appreciate that Ghia, and yes I agree nothing has changed. In fact I see the move to home testing as a major positive really.

Tbh Ghia I fired off one email to the guy because I was interested to know what he thought about the ACE2 finding by MIT. I wasn’t interested in what his PR team thought about it. It wasn’t sensitive info and if he hadn’t wanted to reply he wouldn’t have. I also posted the email for everyone’s benefit, whoever was interested. The problem here is that you get no news, share price stagnates and everyone gets frustrated. People need to be patient imo. GLA.

So basically by my understanding anyone over the age of 65 in a care home is a potential patient for trials if they become sick. This is clearly most urgent testing as we know what is happening in care homes at the moment. If this proves effective in that setting then I expect expedited approvals et al. I have a lot of faith in Richard and the team at Synairgen and we need to remember this is 17 years of their lives in this product, they want to get it right more than anyone else.

Not really Duble as it isn’t new news when you look at the operation of the trial as per the HRA page:

3. Patients admitted to hospital due to the severity of their COVID-19 disease OR non-hospitalised patients from high-risk co-morbidity groups such as the >65-years of age, or those with hypertension, cardiovascular disease, diabetes or a chronic lung condition.

I noted that the amendment to the testing protocol on the HRA webpage was approved on the 22/04/20. So it is possible with the development of point of care testing that is available in 10-15 minutes (confirmed on HRA website) that SNG001 could be being tested on patients in care homes already. This could be much more beneficial with better trial results as a consequence of administering the drug early in the infection cycle. GLA.

I thought Avacta initially but I’m guessing. What is for sure is that it must indeed be In existence as it’s on the NHA website. The combination of these two developments, i.e a hand held nebuliser and a rapid testing kit would easily be the speediest way to start treating this virus. Very excited about the possibilities. I don’t see the amendment as
Negative in amyway and as Rahul said it does show that they think they have something or why would they bother?. :)

Sharesting - was thinking the same the other day comes down to fast, effective testing kits in combination hopefully with SNG001. From the amended NHA procedure I found the following statement striking, ‘We have sourced a point-of-care test, that can be done at the hospital bedside and gives results within 10-15 minutes.’

I agree Maqsood they have or are close to selling their placement shares. Dont blame them tbh nice instant tidy profit and they still hold a huge amount of shares moving forward which they have for a long time!. Nothing to see here move along :)

A little bit oil but then maybe the sensible play is not to get too excited, less disappointed then should it not be SNG. Did seem to come out the blue but i'll be honest i got a bit carried away. :)
