This is exactly in line with what I expected. The tumour shrank approx 35% in the first 10 weeks to start of Nov (1st dose was mid August) so shrinkage is approx 3.5% per week. It has now shrunk a further 15% (of original tumour size) in the 4 weeks since last scan.
Thanks so much for thinking of me xx
I tried to update yesterday but as you say, the site was down so I couldn't.
More great news, just incredible. My tumour has reduced by another 15% so it is now 55% smaller than before the treatment started.
The oncologist is absolutely delighted especially as this vaccine is his baby. Everyone in the clinic was buzzing about it yesterday, I suppose it is a massive breakthrough for cancer treatment and it gives hope to many for the future.
I have a 12 week gap vefore the next vaccine and scan now but fir today I am floating on air.
To think that this time last year I was sent to the oncologist for palliative treatment having been told by my surgeon that things didn't look good.
I'm feeling incredibly lucky that the planets aligned and placed me in the right place at the right time. Long may this feeling continue.
Thanks again for thinking of me, so much appreciated, hope you are well yourself xxx
If I recall correctly from the recording - LD mentioned at the AGM that they had checked with the Nomad about the patient posting on the Macmillan site and the Nomad said it was OK.
The Macmillan site downtime was flagged by another poster a couple fo days ago. Expected to be back online 7pm.
I feel it is fairly certain now that patient 1 has been asked to hold off from sharing the results of her latest scan. She seems to be an open and forthcoming person so the fact that the hasn't yet shared her results despite her earlier response to Welly Walker would indicate that she has indeed been asked to hold off. Lets hope it isn't too long before SCLP make an official announcement (I would expect that the other 2 patients in cohort 2 have now had their first scan as patient 1 had hers a months ago.
16 trading tays till Christmas. One one of those days we will get the Modi1 immunogenicity and safety update plus no doubt they will update on patient responses. Assuming that is goo the SP will be strongly up from there. In the meantime the usual drifting around will occur.
I don't remember Scancell saying we would get a SCIB1 update by year end, when was this mentioned ? I do remember them saying (more than once) that we would get an update on Modi1 immunogenicity and safety before year end (they repeated this at the AGM). I expect we will get an update on the progress of the patients at the same time and maybe they have asked patient 1 to hold off on sharing her scan results until Scancell themselves have done their update (to give the Scancell update maximum impact).
£8-£12 imples a market cap of £6.5bn - £12bn.
If modi1 proves to be highly successful then it could generate future sales of £10+bn per annum. Add in Modi 2 and Modi3 and future potential sales could be £40bn+ giving an annual profit of maybe £20bn - £30bn, which would give a future market cap on a (pe of 20) of £400bn - £600bn.
Of course Scancell won't get to a point where it is making that kind of income because one of the big pharma's will come along an licence the Modi products or platform well before then - the question is 'what would they need to pay for it ?'.
Well to 'buy' a potential future annual profit of 20bn to 30bn they would need to pay big money - may billions in upfront and milestone payments, plus they would need to pay a decent royalty (say 15%).
With the above in mind I can easily see where a £8 - £12 SP could come from in the next couple of years.
